SLK 32 AMG on LPG
Discussion
Hi, a simple question really. I want a 32 AMG but is it possible to fit an LPG system. The pertinent point is the tank and it's location. It would normally go in the spare wheel well but this model hasn't got one.
I found this picture of a 32 boot floor and it doesn't look hopeful but perhaps all that stuff comes out and a bit of quality craftsmanship can sort things out. What do you think or even better, do you know?

Where would the cat go?
The spare wheel well was dropped due to the needs of the rear diff. The plastic box comes out and there is a further recess where the tyre pump and puncture gunk goes as well as an area where the toolkit and jack goes.
As for developing one well there were only 270 odd 32 AMG's sold into this country so there may not be the quantity required to justify the investment.

That's my photo of 'Ceramicat' sitting in the recess of my '32!
Whilst there might well be adequate volumetric space to accommodate a tank of bottled-fart fuel, there's more to it than that! The EMU would need modification to cope with with the fuel, for one thing.
I really don't think that the SLK32 AMG is a suitable vehicle for LPG conversion.
