Always craved a 190.
Love the website too. Ogled many a BM there.
Thanks!

I too love the 190. I actually sold my AMG C55 Estate because I found I just preferred jumping into the 190E and driving that instead; the Pearl Grey one on my website....which I sold to a classic Mercedes dealer and is the fourth car down this list on his website:

http://www.tristarmodernclassics.co.uk/#/cars-for-...

Now I drive a the black one on my website as my daily car and it's great. It's the build quality and thought that they put into these cars amongst other things that really fascinates me.

Another coming soon...watch this space! smile
I too have drooled over your website on many occasions.Im looking for a bit of classic motoring that I could (if required) use everyday and I really like the 190.The only problem is I am spoilt by the Black car you are driving now and I know I wouldnt settle for anything less.
Sorry for the late response...

The black car has actually developed a serious problem...head gasket I fear! Will know soon enough.
Add to that I seem to have 'sold' this one below already and therefore can't use it:

http://www.bmwclassics.co.uk/mercedes_w201_190e/in...

So I'm now down to having to drive one of my 'Garage Queen' BMWs this week as daily transport yikes

No problem good of you to respond.Sorry to read about the problems with the black car but it certainly looks worth repairing.Enjoyed the writeup and pics on your latest sale.Liked the piece about the longevity of the model.

Hi All,

Just bought a SL230! Its a one owner car from new! Bought it from the lady herself, always lived in central london and is back from a full underbody resto..

Have to say - What a beautiful car!

Just started a few minor jobs but plenty of things to do over winter

SL500.. after driving the most horrible little Opel Corsa Diesel eco-something as a hire car in France recently, I decided it was time to get a V8 before they become extinct smile

It looks very nice indeed.

When the time is right I can't decide between an SL320 or an SL500. I had a 280 but that was just a bit too under-powered for the weight of car. However, with two other V8s already in the car another seems like a possible extravagance too far...

Well the two criteria for my toy were convertible and V8, so I didn't try a 320. Certainly the noise and the speed of the 500 are great fun, but I guess you've got both of those already so maybe a 320 would be fine. From what I've read the straight six in the older cars has more character than the V6.
