I can probably agree with you on that: I had quite a few as hire cars in France over the years which were great fun as long as they had petrol engines. My mum used to have a non-turbo diesel and it was a bit sluggish to say the least! In fact some of my most fun driving has been in little french cars, thrashed to within an inch (centimetre?) of their lives on little mountain roads. Modern superminis seem to be just too heavy to be fun in the same way.

The towing eye cover is fixed now!
nah...I can still see it peeking out from the bumper. I like the Merc next to it though wink
Actually don't tell anyone but that 106 is a great car!

I like that!

25 years of motoring here, and the only Mercs I have ever driven have been Sprinters (the new ones are very nice for a Van!) And some of the bigger trucks.

But they are still Mercs!

Plan one day to have a CL500... But a long wait may be involved....

I don't have any proper pictures of mine yet, just the ones taken by the garage, but here is my pride and joy:

Cheers macp. I can't wait to actually drive the bloody thing!

As for the boobs, alas, I don't know. It's a random pic I pulled off the web. The bloke with the saggy arse bending over the knackered Rover is me though.

Just not the same really is it?

hehe

Due some big problems at work I've had to stay on at site in Russia. I won't be home until 17th December now.

grumpy

So I have missed the last of the nice sunny dry weather and will be returning to grey wet drizzle and grimy roads. However, I have promised myself, that should we get one of those dry, crisp, sunny winter days, the roof will be off and I will head up to the Lakes for a winter hoon!

smile

Edited to add: I am jealous by the way Chris, though I think I will have the same insurance problems as your good self!

I'm sure it will be worth the wait Bob. In fact, I'm driving mine up to the Lakes this weekend (from Portsmouth). My first long trip in it, and I'm so looking forward to it. Another big chunk of miles gone though lol.

You'll have to get some piccies for us whilst you're up there. I live local to the Lake District and there are some wonderful roads all over Cumbria and North Lancs. Shame I'm not home to have a bit of a hoon with you.

I'm hoping to get some good photos while I'm there.

If you were around, I'm not sure I would be able to keep up with your beast though smile
