263? Blimey.

253 either on the road or SORN is borderline unbelievable.
Officially, bet there are also a lot imported cars brought in.
also some SLK 32 were used as a base for replica cars, saw some as a old Mercedes 300SL and others.

That sounds likely, I hadn't thought of that.

-The SLK 32 AMG features a more angular steering wheel, AMG instrument dials, an updated front and rear bumper with larger air intakes,
and larger brakes; from 300 mm (12 in), upgraded to 334 mm (13 in) in diameter.
-SLK 32 production started from January 2001, to March 2004. A total of 4,333 were produced; 979 were sold in Germany, 2,056 were imported to the US, and 263 to the UK.

Phenomenal braking for a 20 year old car. The bill for replacement discs, pads and wear sensor all round in June this year was £582, which didn't seem bad at all. To accommodate the discs, the wheels are larger diameter than the standard SLK. A consequence of this is there is no space saver spare wheel, just goo and pump. But, glass half full, you get more storage space in the boot.

sounds indeed like a bargain for that set of brake parts you mentioned, especially for the top of the range R170 SLK.

beginning this year or was it end of 2020, anyways, there was a very nice SLK 32 AMG for sale in the Netherlands, just 12k euro's looked very good, great color and not that high km, such car you could ask now about 25k euro's for and I think they are worth it (the good ones).

rare, fast, cabrio/coupe in one, not to big or heavy.

Much cheaper here in the UK. They start at about £8,000 for an ex-Star Fleet car.

thats indeed cheap, also I saw a year ago many SLK 55 AMG R171 and R172 way cheaper then our LHD on this side, mostly half the money...
and especially the R171 facelift are pretty rare, but also mostly cheap-ish in the UK, its not fair tongue out

I did some work for an Albanian lad who exported RHD Mercedes to Eastern Europe. Some went for spares but some were used in RHD form as a status symbol.

You own roughly 1% of the total uk cars. Top work.

Picked up this C32 AMG at the end of October after my search for a barge took a speedy turn. Same engine as the SLK32 on the previous page but a little heavier. Still I can fully believe the Autocar figures from new - 4.6 to 60 and 10.8 to 100.

Hilariously quick even at 136k miles, sounds surprisingly nice - it has a good growl to it, even if the supercharger is quite muted. Bit thirsty but that was expected, going to try running it on super for a bit as I suspect E10 may be partially to blame (RON won't make any difference as its mapped for 95).

Also does the barge thing fantastically, took me and 4 friends to Manchester/Liverpool and back )from the south coast last weekend with no complaints. Tidy handling. lovely ride (comfy but not floaty) and excellent NVH. Very happy with it, just hope the bills are manageable. 2k miles in and it has just requested 1L of oil which doesn't seem too bad...

The family bus, just took this as I've let it get far, far worse than I ever usually do which is bad of me:

But usually found like this:

Probably worth what I paid for it 2 years ago such is the crazy world today, wish it was a Petrol but its a blooming excellent family car. Massive, comfy, quick-ish, quiet, and easy to run. Become very attached to it!

l'm not really a fan of large wheels, but they seem to suit the car well.
l still have the originals though.
