w210 e320 cdi car not locking

hi,
my w210 e320 cdi (2000 x reg) has just started playing up. the car is not locking- but the indicators are flashing 3x as if the car is locked? also the boot does not open?
does anyone know how i can fix this? have tried checking for a dead fuse, but no joy.
if it helps my car started to go into some 'limp mode' recently, where i couldnt rev past 2000rpm on highest gear, but a shift down or switch on/off would fix the problem..
