Hi,

I have an E Class (2010 model) with an aux socket in the glovebox.

Can I just hook my ipod up using that (I could on my BMW) or do I need additional leads/kit? Not too worried about it having any other functionality (e.g. integration with the radio) than playing the music through the speakers.

Cheers

Yes you just need a double ended lead and set the COMAND to use the AUX.

Yeah just a straight 3.5mm audio cable is all you need won't cost more than £2 or £3

Thanks for the replies guys.

Tried it this morning with a spare lead I had kicking around and it works fine for me.

Cheers

I found the sound quality very poor on my CLK, having to turn up the stereo to above the levels I have it on for radio or CD. It also didn't charge the iPod or control it.

I have therefore gone back to my £10 Griffin iTrip, which sounds better and charges the iPod.
