No problem at all matey. Would appreciate it if you get 5 mins. I am tempted to take it to bits, but I think I should leave that as the last resort.

Right, well apparentally there is a campign out on the vehicle, regard the boot cover.

So if you can give me your reg (email or on here) I can find out what was involved and if it has been done you your car

Mental note: ensure Italian cars are in FRONT of me, not following me...

Reet, there is no campign due on your vehicle.

So best thing to do, is to pop it into your local dealer, so they can have a look

(Oh btw, Did you know yours is an import?)

I know its only a joke, but in all seriousness, as an employee at an Alfa dealership, could you tell me if it would make any difference and if so, why?

I dunno, just percived Value, and only a 2 year warranty when new instead of three.

The UK cars are a bit different too (dont ask me what though )

Perceived by whom, dealer or customer?

Odd. Oh well, the cash you've saved by importing means you can easily afford to buy an extr year's warranty.

Ok I won't But anybody importing personally or any companies that do it in parallel to Alfa UK ought to check the specs and ensure that they order the same kit. Job done!

I guess what I was really asking was: would it make any difference to the way a customer was treated at the dealership?

Silverback Mike.....let me guess, did your roller thingy suddenly refuse to roll back one day?!? 'Cos if so, that's exactly what happened to ours this weekend.

I've had a quick fiddle (ooo-er missus, but it's not playing)

Did the dealer fix yours in the end?

Cheers

Yes, mine refused to retract one day. After having a gander at it, I think the tensioners inside must have come off, but I managed to wind it back by pushing the netting in and turning the ends.

Sold the car then. (I did point the fault out though!)

Cheers Mike, I'll have a proper go at the weekend. It looked a bit "terminal" though
