Either Alfa have some incredible stealth-cloaking technology in these GTs, they're all hiding from me or no one's bought one.

Why aren't I seeing ANY Alfa GTs on the roads? I cover a fair few motorway miles, regularly covering the London to Brum trip, yet in the 6 months since GT launched, I've seen 4! 1 of those was in Monaco so doesn't count.

I'm confused by this cos I test drove one yesterday and thought it was an absolutely stunning car, both inside and out. It was a 2.0 JTS, probably the weakest of the 3 engines, yet it still felt great. So, I'm left wondering why there aren't any on the road.

All you GT owners, where are you?? Is there something wrong with the GT that I'm just missing? Have they all broken down or are you all off driving around the world because the UK roads are so anti-driver these days.

Or have Alfa just been drip-feeding the UK market with GTs like Nissan have with the 350Z?

Cheers

I've seen about 3 or 4 on the road around here. None on the motorway, though.

I see one several times a day...... mine

I do agree though, i personally dont understand it, its such a stunning car, why have they not sold more.
I have seen only 3 on the road since i got mine in June.
My dealer tells me they've not sold many ( & thats allowing for them talking the market up!)

I wondered if its cus they're not an obvious choice, also i think FWD must put a lot of people off.

Ultimately, i dont mind because i get a lot of attention driving round in mine, to many people its the first they've seen, not sure what will happen when it comes to selling it though

I see a few around most days but I don`t think many are in the country yet.

When I spoke to one of the Alfa dealers they said that, initially, there was a restricted supply in an attempt to maintain residuals. The importers haven`t really come on stream yet either, and bearing in mind they probably sell more the the official dealer network this probably has an affect. The importer I bought my 147 from currently has over 60 orders for GT`s!

That importer wouldn't be Smart Alfa would it?

On the FWD vs RWD point, it's one of the only things putting me off the GT, but I'm not going to but a 3-series coupe! They're everywhere!!!!!
If I go for a 2+2 coupe it's gonna be the GT.

Those of you who have a GT, have you got any tips on options? Are the 18"s to be avoided and is the Connect Nav+ worth nearly £2000?? What else does it do other than sat-nav?

Cheers,

Not seen a single one here in the South West I think they're gorgeous looking cars, much better than anything Ferrari is producing at the moment!

I have 18's on mine & can happily recommend them. From the few i have seen, i'm more than pleased with my spec, Strombolli Grey, Red leather, 3.2 V6 & the big wheels...... it looks sensational. ( IMO, the 17's look just too small, it is a big slab sided car after all. As for the 16's, most of the dealer demo's are deisels with 16's on, & thats probably why they've not sold any )

Sadly, i'm much better at buying Alfas than uploading photos, i'll try though ( dont hold your breath )

I've put a photo on my profile, thats about as much as i can manage ( quite impressed myself with that to be honest!)

Cirvy, have you got any photos of the red leather interior?

Just wondering if the red leather is a bit too much or just enough.

Cheers
