being a victim of the GTA brake saga, I may soon have to opt for a self-financed solution as Alfa don't seem able to solve the problem.
As the 'upgraded' brakes on my car are so new, I can't find any aftermarket alternatives to choose from.
Can anyone help with part numbers or cross-references or suchlike ?
I'd usually go for EBC, but I have a (fairly) open mind.
thanks

Grooved discs will seriously help, especially if allied with the latest Redstuff.

See if you can get Ferodo DS Performance (fast road pads) or DS2500 (not road approved) pads. They seem to work very well on all Alfas even with OEM disks. EBC don't get good reviews on the whole when fitted to heavy Alfas.

Failing that, have a chat with Autodelta. www.autodelta.co.uk/

thanks for the suggestions

maybe I wasn't as clear as I could have been ....

EBC's part no. for the 'pre-upgrade' pad is DP21031, what's the part no. for the 'upgrade' pad ? Or anyone elses version of the same ?

cheers

ps - I agreed with the suggestion for slotted disks right up to when I remembered how I warped a set of Tarox G88s

Ah. See what you mean.

Ferodo look like they only list one GTA pad at the minute, which looking at the other fitments must be the original GTA size and not the new one.

I suppose all you can do is get ringing around....

I did pm you, and a week later, you haven't replied.

why?

are you just using this as cheap advertising, or do you really care about helping?

hiya

did reply actually...straight away, must be gremlins in email somewhere...

anyway Red Dot Fast road pads and 6 slot discs will sort you out, available from all good re-sellers and yours truly

it is the pads that are the problem, the change from 305mm to 330mm discs has not solved the issue

recommend the slotted discs to keep the pads nicey de-glazed

call me 07798612697 if you want to chat about 147 GTA

thanks for your reply, I didn't see your mail, it must have gone into the ether......
Do red dot eally have a fitment for pads for the bigger caliper? I've not seen one anywhere, and would be interested to see theirs.
cheers
