DASH DOOR LIGHT STAYING ON

ANY ONE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR LIGHT ON THE DASH STAYING ON ,THE OTHER DAY MY SON GOT IN THE PASSENGER SIDE SLAMMED THE DOOR SHUT,I NOTICED THAT THE INTERIOR LIGHT AND THE LITTLE RED DOOR OPEN LIGHT ON THE DASH WOULDNT GO OFF AND NOW THE CENTRAL LOCKING ISNT WORKING PROPERLY.

I'm not sure what model you have so I can't be sure. Usually the red light (which also controls the courtesy lamp) is located in the door latch mechanism within the door. Failing that, it could be a wire to it.

You also say that the central locking went funny. Have you tried the electric window and mirror (if electric). If more than one system is faulty, it points to wiring, possibly at the wiring multi plug at the door hinge.

Have a check and give more details.

BINGO,THAT WAS EXACTLY THE FAULT,HAD A LITTLE WIGGLE ON THE PLUG IN TO THE DOOR ,HEY PRESTO.THANKYOU VERY MUCH
