Hello
My knowledge on Alfa is very limited, this is why I'm calling on your wisdom
My girl friend is going to change her Merc for something stlilish and diesel.
This is when I thought about Alfa, and specily the Sportwagon or the GT and the Spider (not diesel)
She will do about 500 miles a week mostly motorway.
I would like your opinion on which engine and spec should she go for, budget £20 to £25K.
I've ordered the brochure form a dealer in Aylesbury.
Thank you for your help
Jack

Use at your peril, heard horror stories about them, Perrys in Amersham have a far better reputation even though they are part of the same group.
Think they lost their Alfa Specialist sales guy recently as well.
World's your oyster for up to £25k.
The GT is great if it's just for the two of you, the Sportwagon is a little more flexible in how you can get people in the back - rear doors!!!
Go for the 2.4 JTD for preference (which excludes the GT from the choices!). Quick, smooth & punchy.
We will be running a promotion for Fri & St only. You order a new car & we will discount equivalent to the VAT for you!!! ie 17.5% off!!!

Try www.sgt.co.uk/about.html they are just off teh A4 in Taplow, near Maidenhead. Rich...
p.s. There is also an "indie" that everyone speaks highly of in Maidenhead called AlfaAid (ask for Adrian) - they are also on the A4 but on the West side of town going out towards The Thicket Roundadout junction of A4 and A404(M).

My wife recently got an Alfa 147 1.9 16v diesel & it's pretty impressive. I'm not really a diesel person, but have to say it's quick, fantastically torquey & responsive. If you try one, make sure it's the 150bhp MJet engine - hugely superior to the 8v. Easy motorway car & hill-devourer. Hers has cruise control as standard too.
