I'm a bit surprised that I've had no response to my request for info from QF owners re their cars suffering from water dripping through the bonnet grilles ( two ) onto the engine. This has resulted in failures of the alternator and or the ECU. A pal of mine who takes delivery of his new QF early next week was told about this by his supplying dealer, and I have read about it elsewhere. It seems to apply mainly to early cars, and for some reason left hand drive QF's in particular.
If this problem has been resolved now on later cars, then I'm OK since my new car is being delivered on Friday, but nevertheless it'd still be useful to hear from other QF owners.
People clearly did respond and told you you were talking rubbish. Obvious troll. If this problem has been resolved now on later cars, then I'm OK since my new car is being delivered on Friday, but nevertheless it'd still be useful to hear from other QF owners.

when i spec'd up the one i wanted with the electric front seats, coloured calipers and such, it came out circa £65k last year, (non ceramics, competizione red) - have the prices crept considerably now for the 2017 model?
i assume no other revisions have been made since they launched really?
the early cars are circa £49k now and probably basic spec i assume, i did see a nice spec black low miles car last week at £52k but it had already sold when i contacted the dealer.
Yes, prices have gone up, including option prices. Mine has c£4,000 of options, same car now would almost be another £3k.i assume no other revisions have been made since they launched really?

Just been in to Variava and had a quick chat with a salesman (don’t know his name, was just a cursory conversation) about leasing - his comment was along the lines of ‘ most people pay cash for these to run along side their Ferrari...’
Wasn’t interested at all in talking leases.
Dealers often can't offer private leases, or the 'personal' sales exec would have to pass it to the 'business' sales exec.Wasn’t interested at all in talking leases.
We had the same yesterday at a BMW dealership, Mrs Ares looking at a 1-series. Told him we were considering leasing as figures are strong. He tried to talk us out of it, pushing PCP instead, despite a 50% higher figure. Only later did he confirm they can't offer private leasing.
Mine is on a lease, from Chris Variava (Ben St John - highly recommended), but I could only get the best deals by going through a broker (DSG - Rob Southern, again very very good)

Nope, no major revisions other than a handful of price hikes and options adjustments. New cars will come with CarPlay so I'm told and older cars may be upgraded(??). I'm also told (reliably??) that there will be no facelift. There is a rumour that a Corsa edition will appear in a year or two for those who feel the standard car isn't awesome enough.i assume no other revisions have been made since they launched really?

So far a mysterious thing. One minute they can't deny it, the next they call to say the convo never happened.
Cool.if it does. Tad sharper, bit of weight loss, maybe a custom colour/badge scheme and noise? Future classic right there. MellowshipSlinky said:

How strange. I signed my order just last week.Wasn’t interested at all in talking leases.
I sent an enquiry asking about this deal and what they could offer on a fully spec'd car.

I got an email reply, popped in to see Paul and they printed me an offer which I accepted.
Maybe they have been told that deal is coming to an end, and not to push any more through.
It's almost like they want to limit the amount of Qf on the road.
I don't really know what a Corsa edition could offer that would put ground between it and the standard Qf.
>Sharper tyres? The ones on there already are as far as you would realistically want to push a road tyre.
>Weight loss? More carbon? Unlikely. Removed back seats? Pointless it being a 4 door. Stripped back dash? Maybe.
>More power? Realistic. But that's already available with a simple tune.
> Firmer suspension? More track focused? It already out-handles just about everything this side of a roller-skate.
>Louder? Come on!

tyres are ok. track mode perhaps allowing full adjustablity of the diff via dial?
weight loss- weight could easily be shed on a ltd edition car. everyone knows the QF weighs more than the stated figures if you go by the forum, and its not exactly lightweight as its a modern crash test car built like a tank. yes it has carbon, it also has rear seats and so forth. strip it out further i say!
suspension- fine
louder- yes let the exhaust be selected in any mode, rather than just dynamic and race.
power- maybe limit it to 600, and just pop some stylish logo on to distinguish it, or subtle wheel changes.
and then keep the price realistic! job jobbed.

No issues, not heard of any vent issues. If this problem has been resolved now on later cars, then I'm OK since my new car is being delivered on Friday, but nevertheless it'd still be useful to hear from other QF owners.
Mine is now 6 months/7,000 miles in with no problems (apart from it going into limp mode when I let it run out of fuel <facepalm>. Corrected itself within 3 miles.)
My blemish free experience appears to be the norm. Enjoy yours on Friday, you won't look back.
....and don't forget to post pictures.

So, 10,800 miles in and I have the first problems with my car.
The heater fan stopped working and also the keyless entry door small buttons stick a little. That's it really.
Good service from D Salmon Cars at Colchester. They have replaced the fan, adjusted headlights, plugged a small puncture etc in under three days from start to finish.
I was called 3-4 times to keep me updated. Just have to go back as the new door handles require re-painting.
Happy days.

My info on the Corsa edition: carbon ceramics as standard. Carbon package inc seats. 600bhp. 20" wheels from the Stelvio. Additional colour options. That's all I managed to get from them.
