I don't really know what a Corsa edition could offer that would put ground between it and the standard Qf.

>Sharper tyres? The ones on there already are as far as you would realistically want to push a road tyre.

>Weight loss? More carbon? Unlikely. Removed back seats? Pointless it being a 4 door. Stripped back dash? Maybe.

>More power? Realistic. But that's already available with a simple tune. Not so simple actually. I dont think tuners are able to access the Bosch unit in the QF anymore after an update shortly on the heels of tuners offering power upgrades to around 600bhp

> Firmer suspension? More track focused? It already out-handles just about everything this side of a roller-skate.

>Louder? Come on!
The update was very quickly overcome. 580/590 is currently the safe number that tuners are putting out.

My info on the Corsa edition: carbon ceramics as standard. Carbon package inc seats. 600bhp. 20" wheels from the Stelvio. Additional colour options. That's all I managed to get from them.
Righto. Thanks for the correction. beer

Will 20s fit those arches or Will they flare them for a one off model?

I believe they fit as standard. There's a lot of room in there.

The Corsa version will feature three spoke alloys and a 2.0 "red top" transplant.

Optional 6x9's mounted on the parcel shelf and better room for a KFC bargain bucket ion the cupholder area.

Sounds delicious. But suspect it would come with as £20k premium.

Personally, I'd be very surprised if the 'Corsa' happened. They've got too much else going on to be messing around like that surely?
And unless they charge a very high premium they won't make much money out of it either.

Halo model to blow the M3/M4/C63s further out of the water?.....until a proper Halo model comes along? 6C or 8C replacement?

They've been talking about a replacement 4C, another SUV, maybe 6C, Mito and Giulietta long overdue replacement ........

It wouldn’t be much trouble to them to make a Corsa version along the lines of that described. They have all the bits anyway.
It would be very profitable too, so I certainly wouldn’t rule it out.

I suspect the next car is going to be a replacement for the 166 as that is way overdue.

The Mito and Giulietta could live with a mild facelift as their design is still quite attractive and modern.

Excess of premium parts / options in stock and clever marketing.

They stopped taking factory orders for the Mito this week. It’s practicly dead. Giulietta will soldier on for a couple of years at least.
It will be another SUV next, it’s where the market is ..... apparently

D Day for me today.

Have come to the expensive conclusion that the M4 I bought to replace my temperamental early build Quad just isn’t for me.

I miss the sound, the feel and overall fun of the Quad and as certain people here know have been regretting my decision for some while.

So I have found a replacement, Comp red, dark 5 holes, privacy, convenience pack, H/K, carbon wheel, elec seat pack, red brakes. It’s built and on the way, would be on my drive by the end of the month.

There is but one fly in the ointment .....

I have been offered a cancelled build slot on a 911T. Car can stil be specced, I think will hold value incredibly well and if reviews are to be believed is a great drive. Downside is it is significantly more expensive than the Quad and not as quick.

Decision time !

Difficult. Financially you'd say 911T perhaps long term but the QF has a certain appeal that makes depreciation look like you could accept it.
How much would a 911T come in at?

Approx £95k

Not a sniff of a discount

This vs a Quad which can be had at approx 62 vs 68.5 list.

My issue with the 911T is that it risks being less for more. Great drive, but will it feel merely warm after a QV? 20% lower PWR, albeit with a great chassis/set-up.

Financially it's a no-brainer, the 911T will cream the QV, but my quandary would be between a Carrera (4)S Vs the Quad if £95k was in budget.....or seek out as GT3 for a bit more....

I see less Giulia's on the road than I do Porsches.
As attractive as the Quad is, the 911 is a lot more "look at me!"
If you do go for the Porsche, let us know. I could jump on that slot for the Quad as mine is only just about to start it's way down the line.

I'm lucky that I've got something hotter to play with at weekends otherise yes I think I would notice the difference in power.

£95k is a serious wedge of cash. The petrol head in me says low mileage QF and let someone else take the initial hit then have cash in bank for some other toy. £30k spare could get a lot of toys if needed.
The 911 T won't lose much if anything if you keep the mileage down but the that defeats the point of buying it and using it hard for me if you'll have one eye on resale values.

If money isn't a worry then just drive the pants off it :-)
