Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - Anyone Ordering One
Discussion
Mine has gone in today for the campaign work, nearly all software I believe.
I've had 6000 trouble free miles so far, loving the car.
A little bit sheepish about the courtesy car I've just picked up.
The guy said grand cherokee and I thought fair enough, but he then handed me the keys to a bright orange Jeep Renegade.
It's quite a nice little car with a high spec, but bloody hell it's bright orange lol
I slightly embarrassed to admit that I probably won't take it to a national meeting I have to go to tomorrow, going to cadge a lift instead!

I have just cleared 5,000 miles in my Qv - faultless miles, bringing a smile to my face with every mile, and every time I see the car!
Having had the chance to push the boundaries at Millbrook I am even more astounded by how good this car really is. If they had been developing it for 20 years through different versions it would be impressive enough, but spending 30 months to put all this together and for it to be this good... if you ever get the chance to drive one take it, if you get the chance to own one, you will not regret it. Unless you do track work regularly, you do not need the ceramic brakes, so save some money and spend it on fuel - you will discover new, much longer routes to anywhere you want to go to ; )

I have the Sparcos too - well worth the cost (together with the carbon steering wheel). I drive Germany-England (around 500km) several times a year and in this car I never have any aches or pains.
And +1 with the ceramic brakes. The steel brakes are amazing, when I was at Millbrook for another of the preview days I discussed them with one of the professional drivers and we came to the conclusion that the ceramics are unnecessary unless a lot of track work is planned. The steels have got me out of a couple of "marginal" autobahn situations...

Just because the Sparcco seats are good doesn't mean the standard ones are rubbish, I might add. Possibly the best seats I've had.
Totally agree with you, another way of making man maths add up even better! Mine are standard & they are excellent, having tried both at the weekend, I can't say I can tell the difference, certainly not enough to spend the additional money ; )urquattroGus said:

I haven't had a service yet (at 6000miles now) but will take it back there soon. Off to the south of France in Sept so won't be long until I hit 9000. Fortunately i'm on the 3 year service plan.
County were supposed to ring me to arrange the campaign but didn't (we were shopping for a car for my other half but ended up buying a v40 and not a Giuletta)

I went for standard, that way you get bum warmers and electric adjustment, and save money.
And heated steering wheel with the electric seats pack.urquattroGus said:

Stunning car.
And I think they're way too sensitive on the reliability side of things.

Want one even more now. Stunning car.

Dan prosser sounds bored in the M3 and Matt Prior is practically foaming at the mouth with enthusiasm for the Alfa.
That just about sums up the differences for me.
My friend who is a driveline engineer for Bentley commented that it drove more like a sportscar than a saloon when we drove to Le Mans earlier this year.

Posted in the Alfa section but it's a bit quiet over there.
Evenin' ladies and gents.
The good Alfa's were before my time and the newer stuff just never did it for me.
I've spent most of my driving career (20 years) in various powerful Ford's and most recently BMW's.
Now though, the Giulia Quadrifoglio has really got my eye.
I'm not in a position to buy one straight from a dealer due to a new baby and the associated Maternity pay implications.
What I'd like to know is, what are people's predictions on residuals? I know, with it being a new model, it's a bit of a stab in the dark.
But, what does the forum think a 12 month old car with about 8k on the clocks will be worth next spring? The only preferable option is the special Red paint.
Cheers.

There are already a few cars around at £52k with 5000m on them one year old on PH.
that's a massive saving already if you can avoid picking one up with issues. Why people get rid within a year is beyond me, big hit but i am aware of one car being returned due to unresolved issues, or sold to a different dealer etc.
