The JTD does, the 1.9 JTS (a petrol engine) doesnt
Doh! I mis-read... and have managed to consign the whole sorry JTS era to the scrapheap in my mind wink

The older TS lumps, and especially the alloy Nord TS units were significantly better engines!

Agreed, the JTS engines all have the appeal one would expect of a vauxhall based lump, the 1.9 and 2.2 have timing chain issues, the 3.2 just doesnt live up to its busso predecessor, and the 2.0, while an alfa lump, has issues of its own (teething problems with the concept of direct injection)

I'd quite like a Nord TS, but 75 and 155s are getting seriously thin on the ground.

It's a shame that all this emissions malarkey is sending so many great engines down memory lane, i mean the 1750TBi is a nice lump, but given the choice i'd have a 3.2 Busso any day.

Yes the 1750 Ti is the one to go for. I had the wagon and it's gorgeous inside , go for the late run black dash with full leather it really is something special. I had a 2.4 diesel Ti before it and for what it's worth that pulled like a train mapped but felt so much heavier than the smaller petrol it was like driving a barge into corners. Think the petrol is a better all round balance on the 159. Just a shame they didn't offer a GTA version in the end. The later cars were quite a bit lighter than the pre 2008 run cars. Stunning cars to look at and I don't regret owning two.
