They can't. EU competition law means you can shop around for servicing on a PCH. They cannot force you to use a dealer.
I think you need to look at this in more detail

Eu law says the owner can but your not the owner so the person you are hiring the car off of can stipulate who they want to service THEIR car and if they say they have chosen main dealers you will need their permission to do anything else and suggest you get that in writing .

Go against it without being 100% certain you are right and you risk a hefty charge at the end of the lease.

Problems I'm having are a nasty sounding creak coming from front passenger suspension (I think?), only hear it at low speeds, but its very loud and annoying!
Unfortunately I think I have the same issue. Been trying to pretend it wasn’t there for the last week as I don’t want to take it back.

Only had a quick browse online but looks like not an entirely uncommon problem.

I've had to stop using the car now, its at the point where the noise is unbearable and I'm pretty sure the cars handling has changed quite a bit. Earliest they can look at is 26th of Feb as I need a courtesy car

I wonder if that’s why mine seems to ‘tramline’ and get pulled round a lot then...

I was expecting it to do this, after reading lots of reviews but I feel mine is maybe doing it worse than that (again trying to ignore it because I love the car!!)

I think I’m just in denial that something isn’t quite right laugh

All part of the charm of an Alfa.

The car is very track focussed as std & unless its getting worse that's what it probably is , sadly it doesn't suit the farm tracks the UK call roads but strangely ours was fine in Italy

Alfaworks can sort it out to make it much more road compliant if you cant live with it, http://www.alfaworkshop.co.uk/

Two 4C questions that I’d like some help with please. I’ve had conflicting information on both points.

1) 4C Spider width. I have a single garage opening into a double size garage. What is the bear minimum opening width, with mirrors folded, that I can get through?

2) Stock exhaust v sports option? I’d read that the standard exhaust can drone after 70mph. This will be a weeekend car therefore I’m not too fussed about that however does the standard exhaust sound sporty enough?

Mines in a single garage with an opening of 2150mm and I have to fold in the drivers mirror to get in and out but I’m currently replacing the existing door with a roller shutter door that has no framework and increases the opening to 2270mm therefore not having to fold any mirrors

as for the exhaust we have the Alfa sports one and yes it does drone between 70 and 80 but we’ve had ours for two years now and it’s a fourth car so only does 2000 miles a year and we can live with it. On the plus side it’s very very loud and raucous not necessarily refined but still lots of fun

Rumour on the street is that a 4C Final Edition (FE) will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show next month (March) and order books for all 4C models will close forever in Apr or May 2018.

Probably best not to dilly-dally if you're thinking of ordering a brandnew one.

To make room for the new 6C so a dealer told me.

Hmmm - my opening to squeeze the 4C in would be 2m maximum. Is it going to fit with both rather than just one mirror folded ?

The car is 1864mm wide without mirrors so it should but it always feels tighter when trying. Lol.

Bloody hell.....lol
Just my luck to order the car and then not fit in the garage! Sadly Beechdale Derby can’t locate a test mule to lend me.

Regards the 1864mm width is that based on no mirrors at all (likely my scenario when I’ve smashed them off the car....) or the mirrors folded in ie inclusive of the mirror base.

Think 1864 is without mirrors.

According to this anyway:
https://www.the-blueprints.com/modules/vectordrawi...

Looks like it is more like 2m with mirrors but I can’t read the exact dimension because of their watermarking.

Thanks Nick.

So long as the wing mirrors fold totally inwards then it looks like 1864mm is the magic number leaving me around 130mm to get through!

First world issues.....

Alfa Oxford have a demo you might be able to borrow? Which side of Brum are you?

Last resort they are very light, if your garage entry is flat you can line it up & push it in , failing that get some sort of mirrors or cheap security cameras on the door pillars , cameras can be linked to your wifi & then you can monitor it on your phone as you drive in

Thanks, some good suggestions there.

Any other thoughts on the stock v sports exhaust?

Alfa works system is rather good and doesent drone like the sports exhaust , might be looking at the cost of the alfaworks system against the extra you pay for a sports exhaust
