The Alfa Romeo 4C lease thread
Discussion
Thanks!
Thankfully I had a call back, from the person who hung up on me. Samira is out of the office this week, which could explain the issues. She was very helpful whenever I’ve spoken to her.
They promised to come back Monday. Then when I called they could only take messages and have someone from the team call me back. Called today and the underwriters said no record of the request! Maybe when she is away it all falls apart - she was v helpful last time I tried.
So the person who called back said the credit score has failed, but the person wanting to novate says they have a perfect score. Not sure if perhaps just a glitch on the system ? All feels like a dark art to me!

Ordered my Spider today. Sure I didn’t get the one of the cheap Coupe deals from earlier in this thread but as this was a 40th birthday treat I’m not too fussed.

Don't think the current deals (like Beechdale) are a million miles from the old ones (like Unity). Most of the older deals in this thread were for the cheaper coupe (not the Spider) and many of them were fake or quietly withdrawn.Alfa Red

Works out to be £12,576 amortised - believe the lucky few who snatched the cheap deals last year are paying a touch over £8k all in?94OD said:

The current Spider deal is in the top ~10% of all deals of all time for that particular model since it was launched. Given orders are stopping in 2-3 weeks, it's a case of "now or never" for anyone looking to park a brandnew carbon Alfa on the driveway.

Or just wait for the revised model?Yipper said:
The Internet rumour mill is suggesting the 4C has been canned, and it will not be replaced until 2019 or 2020 at the earliest, and it will be replaced with an aluminium 6C aimed at the (profitable) US market.
Not sure about it being alluminium but I gather it will be circa 100K & possibly slightly more of a grand tourer. If its gets the 6 pot out of the Quadrifolioliolioloo it will be a quick car for sure but as that's destined for the new Dino its going to have to be a tadge slower than the Ferrari so the grand tourer may be true Like most things to do with Alfa they probably haven't quite decided yet, needs a few more working lunches to get it sorted
I think this is what pushed me over the line with my Spider order. Having driven one I felt I had too! Cross between a Lotus Exige and a Group B rally car.....
I’m pretty sure what will come next is a £90/£100k which to be fair may not only iron out some of the 4C issues like the 80’s interior or the floaty steering but also, and correctly in my opinion, start to pitch or against similar machinery.
In reality they need to steal of few of the Giulia engineers, power it correctly (but not lose the sound!) and then upgrade the Alpine stereo!
