OPINIONS REQUIRED - Warranty work on my 4c lease car

Started having problems with my 4c making creaking noises from front suspension, a bubble on the protection film and a water leak in the front foot well.

I live in South Wales, and the nearest garage to me is T H Whites in Swindon. A 150 mile round trip. They kindly booked me in and arranged for a courtesy car etc, I dropped the car off Monday, had a call today to say they had identified all the faults but the parts are going to take 10 days to arrive from Italy. They said they cant let me have the courtesy car for that long, so want me to drive all the way back up, take my 4C back home with the same issues, and then go back up again when the parts arrive! Essentially that means in total - 300 miles on the car, petrol plus 7 bridge toll, and around 7-8 hours out of work!!

I was a little startled on the phone this morning, so I said I'd need to call them back. My question is, should I be kicking off a little about this? I understand its not their fault I live so far away, but at the same time it's not my fault that a 6 month old car that I'm paying for on a monthly basis is broke!

I've tried to call Leasys but cant get through to anyone (on hold for over 20 minutes last time I called!)

How should I approach this?

Bombard (politely) the Alfa UK public Facebook and Twitter accounts and kick up a stink.

Tell them you can't do it.

This, put the ball back in their court.

Alfa dealers are well known for being awful to deal with, its just part of the charm of the brand.

As with yours, mine is also at the point of nearly being undrivable - noise is terrible.

My nearest Alfa dealer (about 60 mile round trip) were also useless - about 3.5 weeks before they could book it in just to have a listen to the noise. Still have about 2 weeks before then rolleyes

Not really that impressed when it started on just around 600 miles. If I lived closer to Thames Alfa I would have felt more comfortable making a bit more fuss, however I guess my local one doesn't really have any incentive to care (Apart from the £800+ first service that they now probably aren't going to get)

Mine is making an awful creaking/rubbing noise from the drivers front suspension. If it gets worse early this week then I'm phoning alfacare to get it recovered.
Mine is booked in for Friday at Mango....I just hope that they sort it all and don't have me going back an forth: it's about a 90 mile round trip for me.

Has anyone experienced a rattle at low speed? I can hear it behind my right ear. Anyone had issues with the boot not opening?

Mine is all over the road too. Sales guy said it would settle in. It didn't.
The one I test drove handled so much better.
Mine feels like it's crabbing. I've asked mango to look at it, but I honestly don't know what to expect.

I've had the rattle behind the right ear from about 4,000 miles onwards (just over 8k now). It's currently in for a service and I've read it could be a loose heat shield. The car has also begun making this odd high pitched rubbing sound which almost sounds like a cricket. I'll see the results in a day or so when it's collected.

Looks like the recent cheap Beechdale deals have been pulled.

Good video review, from the Geneva Motor Show, of the inside and outside of the last ever 4C Coupes and Spiders made.

Blue paintwork on the Spider looks good.

I’m just hoping if it’s being shown as a limited edition it’s not the final edition , 108 of each won’t go far

Although I’ve ordered a spider I do actually prefer the curves of the coupe.

Yep, I have a spider and prefer the shape of the coupe, but driving the spider around in the summer is pure bliss and the noise is so much better.

Agreed - I’ve chosen the race exhaust too for this very reason.

Looks like order-to-delivery times for the 4C are now down to ~4 months (from 6 to 9 months last year).

Production ends in July so yep 4 months assuming you grab one of the last build slots & there aren't many left
