I've just had a quote for an extension. Current figure £317, new rental £601 (no additional miles).
Assume you're handing it back????
I may go down the informal extension route, apparently I can keep it for up to 5 additional months at the current rental.

You get extra miles? Or still the same mile cap at the end?

No extra miles. Not even pro rata on the basis of the original allowance.

So what are the full details of the original deal you signed ?

IE deposit, term , mileage and of course the monthly we know?

Also been offered a 5 month informal extension at current price without additional mileage. Excess mileage is 22p so may take this up.

Very reasonable purchase price aswell however I didn't go for a great spec so slightly hesitant on this.

For those that are handing it back are you having the second service done? And at what cost.

Nothing else on the market can do what the 4C does.
What tramline? Depend what you mean by what it does. I would argue that an Exige does all the driving bits better, as does an Alpine

Arguable, but the Alpine and the lotus (sadly) look like kit cars and have none of the class of the Alfa.

I'll hand back a couple of weeks early to avoid the second service.

The Alfa is a work of art.

The Lotus is a stunning drive.

I like the Alpine, but it's hardly a looker and no Exige to drive.

The Alfa is the one everyone will want in 20 years time.

My 4C has just gone back two weeks early. I didn't do the second service and that was fine. If anyone spots a black coupe reg OE67DCO at an auction and wants to know more about the car, let me know.

Just enquired about the informal extension too. I think even after service 2 and some fresh rear tyres it's still not a bad option. Can't decide on a replacement!

Just had the purchase price through too, I don't think it's terrible at £35,500 but quite hard to gauge as the prices seem all over the place. Wish I had a few options on it. Can't decide what to do now!

What spec? If that's an Anniversary Spider then it's a great deal.

No, it's a black coupe. No extras. I have realised though from looking on Autotrader today that there are a couple of nice carbon interior touches that I can only guess where put on the last run on coupes!? - carbon gear surround / carbon passenger trim with the italian flag - always assumed all 4C's had them.

We Buy Any Car says £34,635, so it is close. A touch keener and I would have probably leaped.. at £35,500 its more heart over head...

Add me to the lower ball joint club. At least mine have reached 55,000 miles.

She was due to go upto Jamie and Ben early April for the 60,000 service, guess she will be going up a little earlier. This is going to be an expensive service frown

Impressive mileage! Any other issues over that time!?

On another note... Leasys have yet to collect my 4C due back over a month ago. Requested for my private plate to be removed early December.. still hasn't been done. DVLA won't tell me much as I'm not the registered keeper however they hinted that they haven't received a request. Leasys say they have done it, so a complete stalemate! In the meantime, insurance has lapsed, service now overdue a month, but thankfully I'm no longer paying and have email confirmation that says my contract will be terminated on 18th Jan - so I'm taking that as my responsibility has ended. Strange!

If you haven’t done so I would inform them in writing that it’s no longer insured and it’s now their responsibility . Just in case it gets stolen or damaged , they may argue you have a duty of care to look after it should anything happen

100% agree with Stuart’s comment. Be careful as that could get very messy....

At the very least ensure that you’ve written to them and put on record the situation regards insurance and servicing.

I would be using recorded post as well, this has the makings of a saga...
