Are you after the spider or the coupe?

I believe some dealers are taking deposits on factory builds for delivery end of 2017/beginning of 2018.

Has anyone put down a deposit for a factory build and heard back with bad news?

That's a shame, they were good with me. Have you tried Mangoletsi for the in stock car as mentioned on the last page?

Guys. I got my 50th Av Spider this week and it is a genuine deal. £4000 down inc vat and £400 pm inc vat. The coupe figures that are around are based on a mythical standard spec car that nobody has. They might be able to factory order one but I doubt it as the deal will be pulled soon by FCA finance. If you want a deal on something message me and I will help you find one that exists. I have been in the industry
for 25 years. Cheers. Darren.

Congratulations, how are you finding it? Also how long did the handover process take?

I'm starting to get excited for mine, knowing my luck the weather will turn the second I collect it!

It's a very interesting car Acceleration even at 80% power which you are limited to for the first 250 miles is amazing. I drive a 4.0 c63 and this feels a lot quicker due to the weight.

Once you get past the fact that it's less practical than a motorbike you will love it.

Hi Darren. I can't email you via pistonheads as it says you don't accept emails. Would be v grateful for help.

Preference for spider but would consider coupe. Spider seems better value as not much more on the lease ?

Yes shame indeed. Guess it depends who you're dealing with ? I asked for Matt/Paul but another guy insisted on dealing with it himself. I did try magoletsi but they only seem to have cars with large spec which are c.£580 pm.

Less practical than a bike? Yeesh! Is the sports exhaust as obnoxious as people claim?

Just had a chat with Mangolesti (or whatever they're called)

They want a £2,000 deposit before even disclosing the spec of the cars and finance figures.

They have stock available with a 3/4 week wait.

Silly that they wouldn't discuss figures or spec though.

I got the same but gave them the benefit of doubt as they seemed to have some stock availability and one or two people here seemed to have good experiences.

There doesn't seem to be anything available remotely near the attractive offers, so I can't help but feel this has been an exercise in "bail & switch" by the dealership.

Am pretty annoyed and wished I'd never even bothered to speak with them.

I'm still holding out on my factory order with attractive numbers. Apparently order to be placed in September.

Mangoletsi seem to be suggesting no more factory orders are being taken for 4C's. I can understand the frustration it would be great to have some transparency.

Is it just me with a factory order for a coupe in this thread? I'm losing confidence day by day.

I called in to Mangoletsi yesterday - quote for the cheapest stock Spider they had was £150 more than originally quoted per month. The request for a deposit before disclosing spec of car is pretty poor!

I'm still holding out for the Thames deal - build date apparently in October and delivery in December or January.

I was told by Mangoletsi yesterday that the Thames deal was nonsense and that no 4Cs were being built this year. However, Thames are still insistant it's genuine and that the orders should be confirmed as in with the factory for the end of June.

It seems bonkers that Mangoletsi want a £2k deposit before even discussing figures. As for the conflicting information regarding the offers I hope someone from Alfa head office clarifies it for the people with factory orders. If not, it will end up being a bigger farce than the Unity debacle from earlier on this year.

I'm hoping that mine is ready for collection earlier than the two week time I was quoted. Knowing my luck the weather will have turned to ste by then.

Are you in contact with Thames Tunbridge wells or Slough?

I'm confirming my spec tomorrow and really am hoping Thames pull through on the deal.

Currently have my order in with Peter at Tunbridge Wells, however I have also been speaking to Craig in Slough.

Confusing thing is that despite returning the forms to TW and having had my order verbally confirmed as being on the system, I have not yet been asked to pay a deposit, whereas Craig has stated he will need a £1000 deposit to book a build slot for me on ly requested spec.

I do find that slightly strange - will attempt to get some clarity on this tomorrow morning,

I ASKED if I could put a deposit down with Thames and was told I have to wait till next week to get conformation from the factory? Peter did say as far as he's concerned it's a done deal. He seems a genuine guy, so I have no reason to doubt him, it's just what's happened in the past that makes me a little wary of it all!

It's good to hear other people's experiences and situations, the Mrs is bored of me talking about it now so I'm using this thread to release and ease the pain of hanging on to find out the result lol

Hello I work for Chris Variava Alfa Romeo, it has been bought to our attention some of you saying you haven't been called back, if you would like to E-mail me direct at matthew.m@variava.com and we will make sure you are contacted asap.

We are now sold out of 50th limited edition spiders, the interest in the deal has been amazing.

Let me just clear a few things up, we have heard a lot about other dealers taking deposits on deals they cannot commit to or get cars. there is no standard cars available in coupe or spider and 50th are now extremely thin on the ground. there is a lot of cars with options and we are looking to do a deal on these in the near future.

Would you like to say about the comments a few of us have heard regarding no factory orders being taken for 4C's?
No need to reply since this was Mangoletsi making these comments but it would be nice to have another dealer back these comments up / refute them.

I've been quoted delivery of late this year or early next year. I wonder is there actually no expectation of 'late this year' and the vehicles will all be 2018 deliveries. Perhaps there actually are 'no more factory orders for delivery this year'.
