Nobody knows and anything stated is just rumour not fact. There has been talk of -

A facelift
Revision to use a bigger 2.0 engine
Cancellation in 20MY

None of which have been confirmed although the cancellation has been denied. It has also been confirmed that none are being built at the moment and I believe that has been the case for the last 12 months pretty much with the anniversary cars built around this time last year still for sale.

I wouldn't bank on the price going up. That very much depends on demand being greater than the small supply and at the moment there are far too many 4c on the market for that.
Tend to agree on some of that , not sure it ended with the anniversary ones as the anniversary ones I've seen have the old badges, the one I took delivery of in march had the new badges so that leads me to believe some were built after the anniversary ones but that's just a view based on minimal clues . And as I've said rebadging apart from the steering wheel is easy .

I'm just so glad I managed to get a new coupe as even if they continue it reads from the US forums the required curtain air bags fir the US are proving a problem to design in and if sakes are poor I can't see Alfa throwing to much at it when the spyder Is excempt from the legislation as it has no roof . I've read there are also problems with pedestrian safety and that might explain the leaked pictures of the so called facelift but disguised front end

It's all rumours as we've both said apart from the fact none are being built

Values, in time they will find a level s/hand. I'm guessing around 40k where they seem to have dropped to recently and then creep up over time but there's a few years for that to clarify.

There are loads for sale and not shifting and the cheap lease deals are only testament to that. I can see them falling a fair bit because the supply is more than the demand. It may be an unusual car but in terms of pure economics it's no Boxster spyder or BMW 1M etc. The following is too niche

I think many are up for to much and many early cars were bought by speculators as can be seen by the low mileage who won't drop prices easily. If they stop it supply will be used up and then prices will find a level .

To your last comment agreed It is a nieche car and thank got it's not like a Porsche or BMW

What I meant by that was that those cars are selling for good money years after production because production was purposely restricted. 4C production has been restricted by demand not by supply.

I heard the same about potential model cancellation but who knows what the truth is. Guess we may find out later this year.

On a related note, has anyone had experience of buying cars at the end of the lease term? I know that the person who leased can't buy (for tax reasons) but it doesn't stop a family member from buying.

Just wondering if the lease companies are happy to let them go at attractive/trade prices ?
Lease companies will I guess sell to the highest bidder, its a case of calling and asking

I spoke to Peter at Thames back when they first advertised their deal prices and he said the factory had closed their books for new orders for a while but they were open again. That goes against what I've read on here.

All seems to a bit up in the air, different dealers are claiming different things. The only thing that is confirmed is that the anniversary spiders have all sold out, mostly on the £400 23+10 deal. The in stock coupes and spiders are both listed at way more than the initial deal prices. I'll be very surprised if they end up honouring the original deal but lets wait and see.

Here is where i am in understanding this whole debacle:
1) The anniversary spiders are all gone
2) There are stock cars left in the UK at decent prices (prices are still decent for the spec on offer)
3) Factory is closed and not taking orders until end of August (this is when any factory orders will be placed)
4) Factory orders that have been taken are going in for production in/around September

Now where i am stuck is if i have placed my order and FCA have accepted my finance etc... what could go wrong now?

The only thing i can think of is if there is a change of spec of the car (series 2?)

Went to collect mine today (via Rotherham to drop my Evo off for some work).

Cheers to the good folk at Chris Variava for the hassle free process. They had several 4Cs waiting to be collected. I'll probably start a thread over in readers rides in a few days once I've spent some more time with the car.

Cheers. Weather did hold up, drove home rather sensibly with the roof on. Took the roof off for a short trip once I was back.

Either a stick on one on the bonnet or a shortened one but definitely not the standard plinth that's drilled and attached to the bumper.
I have a very short number that should make the plate really small.

I thought all the 50th Anniversary spiders had the Italian flag on the wingmirror?

It's a bit of a marketing ploy though really isn't it, its just a well specced Spider and called the Anniversary model. It's not like they have anything different (apart from a small serial plate inside) is it?

The wing mirror flag is a sticker that is fitted at the dealers along with the plaque. Or in my case the plaque will be fitted by me once it arrives from Italy.
