I think you'll get plenty of interest if the Thames deal falls through! Should know within the next couple of weeks I'd imagine :/Spec is:

Sadly I only found this thread after being messed about by Mangoletesi. 80 mile round trip on the basis of their 345 per month offer, only to be told after a test drive on 27/07/17 they haven't had any cars available at this price for 4-6 weeks. They did however have some higher spec cars starting at 499 per month, which they neglected to mention when I made my initial enquiry. Despite not having any cars for a while at this price the advert is still live, so I've spoken to Alfa customer services and asked them to consider what the advertising standards agency would make of it. Pretty shoddy all round.
I'm still thinking my earlier hunch may be true
Dealers advertise an unbelievable deal, if they get enough interest and have enough orders they can place the orders with Alfa and get some sort of bonus cheque , if not enough interest they think of a reason why the deal can't go ahead, if and it's only personal speculation that's what's happening Alfa need to look at how the more prestigious cars are incentivised with dealers as things like this really upset potential owners , ruins residuals for current owners , makes some potential purchasers walk away and even though Alfa aren't instrumental in creating the situation The brand gets the blame .
The few built cars sold recently through the lease deals I feel were just Alfa shifting a few that we're hanging around but it's hard to believe they need to heavily subsidise unbuilt cars
I hope for all those who have placed orders with these lease deals I'm wrong and you get your cars
I'll qualify this again by saying it's only a hunch and I have nothing to back it up but I'm sure if I'm way off the Mark someone will be along with a more objective view shortly on how it all works.

I did discuss the saga with the folks at Chris Variava when I collected my anniversary car and they said that the deal made no sense and would end up being another letdown.
The 4C is a low volume car, I can't see a reason why Alfa would want to build a load only to let them go out on lease at such a low price. The anniversary cars are a different kettle of fish as they were already built and had seemingly been sat in storage after being unsold for nearly a year.

Alfa have given me a case number and have promised to get pack to me. The lady I spoke to did also acknowledge she was aware of this thread on pistonheads and that it involved more than one dealership. It will be interesting to see how they react. I for one havent owned a Alfa for over a decade. Last one went as I was fed up with niggly faults and 'they all do that' response from the dealer. Based on this debacle it will be another ten years before an Alfa dealer gets me through the door. I think the person I spoke to got their name right, after that I'm not so sure....
I think only one dealer has behaved slightly badly.
The others (eg. Thames, CV) seem to have been very honest about the situation. So yes I think the one particular dealer should be reported to Alfa UK, but the others should be praised.
Both of mine came from CV and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I hear good things about one of the larger London dealerships too.

Nice to hear someone has had a good experience. I'm just hoping Alfa as the arbiters in the case, see that dealerships being less than transparent will ultimately only damage a brand that cannot afford to lose and alientate potential customers/existing customers, because over the previous years many will have already had a poor dealership experience.
My dealer agreed to collect my car by transporter, paint the number to fill the screw holes and then deliver back by transporter. Have to say full marks for a no quibble response. However, the muppet transporter driver proceeded to load the car without the right equipment i.e long boards and managed to very badly scratch both offside corners of the spoiler. My 16 y old son called me to warn of the dheads actions and the driver also spoke to me and apologised blaming his office's instructions to do it whatever happens. My son noted the damage and reason on the note. Driver arrived at dealer next day and totally denies all knowledge of how any scratches were caused so dealer questions me as thinking I'd done them. However, I explained what had happened and they were shocked that the driver could stand there and blatantly lie to two of them at the dealership! What a muppet driver but the dealers are happy to repair the damage at their cost. Good on them, Alfa needs positive stories about dealers right now what with the saga on here of potentially no show cars being touted around!
Has anyone had a word with Thames recently?
Latest i have heard is orders are sitting with Alfa and will be submitted for build in late September and we are still on track for Q1 2018 delivery. Chap sounded collected and confident enough for me not to ask any more questions really. Seat fitting etc... to take place once the car has been delivered among other things.
Anyone heard any different?
I am rather excited!

Thursday or Friday i can't remember exactly. As mentioned before if the vehicle turns up then that will be a massive joy... if not i don't have a lease ending or anything like that so not much to worry about life will carry on as normal.... sadly without a 4C.
I'm a glass half full kind of guy though so my hopes are up!

I'm in the same position, I have a shed daily driver which has done me well since handing back my SLK lease car, I'm not desperate for another car but if a good deal comes about I tend to jump on it. I really hope the 4C comes to fruition as there doesn't seem to be many cars that can offer what the 4C can, and especially at the money we'll potentially be paying for it!
If it all goes t*ts up the Mrs wants a Velar, so I'll be on the hunt for a good deal on one of those! Complete different end of the scale!
Time to sit tight till late september I guess
