Unlikely, I think the problem will be there won't be that many people wanting to buy from a private seller, and you will need to have cleared the final payment before you can sell privately. If you trade it in then you won't get anything like the figures you see them advertised at, and most of the cars advertised never seem to sell.

Just reading this thread for the first time after posting a new thread about 8 cars listed on drivethedeal, I think I may have found the supplying dealer then. Could the resale be strong enough to run one for a few years and not lose money??
Surely they'll be worth more than the GFV though even trade in price??
In time, these will be classics and in 'the right hands' but for now Alfa are over supplying the market and selling/leasing based on price. They are going to those who ordinarily buy on price, and may suffer some regrets when they realise this 4C is not an alternative to a TT or a 4series BMW.

Maybe a touch more but it's by no means certain, a 2015 low mile car has been auctioned by a dealer twice on eBay recently. First time it got up to £34k second only up to £30k the dealer wanted over £40k.

Unless you find a private buyer or partx against another new Alfa, your not going to get anywhere near Autotrader prices!

I expect prices are going to drop, especially as there were over 50 cars sold on a 2 year lease in July!

There's a good chance they will have stopped production by the time these come out of the deal so values should firm up, im on my second and it really is a fantastic car . Coupes I feel will hold up better on value being quite a lot cheaper initially so will in theory take a smaller percentage hit . I traded my old one in at the end of march and the dealer sold it in 2 weeks so they are moving second hand

Think it's a car for clowns tbh.
Lashed out on making some bogus carbon fibre tub, in an ideal world they'd have spared three bob to bother with a half-decent engine and gearbox on the off-chance that someone who actually understands something about cars might want to buy one too. Oh yeah, the headlights look like animal scat.
Actually I'm a big fan of alfas, just sayin should be better.

Btw, my first post on the forum. Looking forward to hearing what you guys say too.

Really, I'm no racing driver and we'll be the first to admit the car has more ability than I will ever have, but in the right hands it seems not have embarrassed itself - breaking the 250 bhp Nurbergring Lap Time record etc.

Plenty of posts by Ferrari owners that also have 4c's saying it's more than quick enough to keep them happy.

Well, appreciate you're modesty, but Ferrari drivers should know better. Anyone who knows a gearbox from a toolbox wouldn't accept such slow gear changes.

So you telling me that's a good gearbox? That a proper petrol head would go for it?

I'm telling you that your post history and profile scream troll. You must be getting bored during the summer holidays. School starts again soon which is good.

Yeah whatever, Ad homonoid attack, so last year...

Rubbish gearbox, not for proper drivers. Don't like the message, don't shoot me, not my fault.

Peace out

The reason why this thread is 38 pages long is that Alfa built a baby super car and made it obtainable for Petrol heads with relatively ordinary incomes. I'm not sure of the exact definition of Petrol Head, but I would expect most people that posted on here would fall under that stereotype.

My other cars are a 1965 VW Camper and a 1971 Karmann Ghia, so no I'm not particularly concerned about the slow gear change of my 4c!

It's Ad hominem you stupid . I get the impression that you've never seen one let alone driven one.

I'll stop feeding the troll now.

I asked for one just out of interest, they gave me the identical list to the dealer pcp offer that was posted earlier and asked which I was interested in. I chose a model but haven't heard anything back since?

Seems like a bit of a clown show from the Alfa dealers that are still taking deposits despite no confirmation from HQ that cars are still available at the advertised deal prices.

If anyone misses out on the alleged deals and still wants one then mine might be available. Using it as my main car is starting to annoy me especially when I really need something more practical.

That's unlike gateway, I've used them several times and they've been excellent.
