Well I ordered one of these cars yesterday with almost 18K saving it's hard not to
Great looking car, not sure why they're not moving as not sure what else you could get for that
He reckons first week of Sept for delivery from Italy????

With new cars lying around unsold for a year and used cars sitting there doing the same suggest there is no market for it.
I think it falls between two stools and lands flatly on its face as a failure regardless of how good it looks. On the one hand it's not hardcore enough for the exige and Elise crowd and on the other not forgiving enough for the daily driver Cayman buyers. I wouldn't want to have my money in one.
Totally agree!I think it falls between two stools and lands flatly on its face as a failure regardless of how good it looks. I've wanted to like this enough to have a dabble but something inside stops me. It really is occupying a space that I don't frequent.

Agreed, but Ii can see this car being a true classic in the years ahead, especially if sales remain low...
Possibly but between now and then you will probably have to hang onto it or if you want out and are not willing to wait ages take whatever the dealer or WBAC type places offer you and you may be required to remove your pants.Having said that I've just looked at the cheapest car on AT with the number plate visible and it's up for sale for 40k at a dealer and a quick dash to WBAC is quoting 35k before the usual haggle. That's a lot closer than I expected for immediate disposal.

Had an email from Peter at Thames, he seems to think that the stock 4C's have all been sold? So ordering will need to open soon apparently?
Here's hoping!
So we're almost another week on, and almost 12 since original order date. Has anyone heard anything since the above last Friday? Here's hoping!
I've noticed a few tempting PCH and PCP deals on other marques go by but am holding out for my Thames order.
The PCP Alfa 4C deals made it to HotukDeals (link below) but I don't see information on whether anyone actually called about them. The deal was listed AFTER j4mte had the above email from Thames so one would think that the deal below was posted too late.

Been away from this thread in a while but here is where i am:
Was offered one of the cars mentioned on the drivethedeal page on a lease (a bunch more spec for an increased monthly of course)
Took Thames up on the offer and should be collecting my car in 2 - 3 weeks.
Apparently Manufacturing will not start till September (i was getting cold feet so jumped on the other car i was offered)
Thames are still confident of delivering the ordered cars

Just come to this thread as interested in what's happening with 4c's, good luck with that dealer, never come as close I did earlier in the year going legal with them, numerous verbal lies and twice in writing! When they realised I was serious, and Trading Standards took more than just an interest, they gave in.Was offered one of the cars mentioned on the drivethedeal page on a lease (a bunch more spec for an increased monthly of course)

Sorry could I get a little more context here, were you promised a car and then that never materialised?Get everything in writing...twice!
Am interested as I have sold my car now so would be in a pickle if my car isn't delivered. Not to mention a few bob out of pocket.

Turns out that their is a specific consumer law to cover such sales practise, which after much battling and a formal letter to the owners giving them a last time bound chance prior to going legal (although they never responded), an agreement was reached.
Fiat Turin got involved and offered much support as well.
All I say is check the car against the spec ordered, check everything twice. From my discussion with Trading Standards, they implied I was not the first! But would not comment as they wanted to investigate the company further.

Well that's what I thought - it was in relation to a used car, told that it had full service history verbally many times and in writing twice, upon collection, they tried to slip through the service book and I noticed it was a brand new, only to find the history was missing. They also ended up trying it on with a few other items. In the end I literally had their sales manager shouting at me down the phone saying to just return the vehicle and they would give me my money back, but in no way were prepared to compensate me for their wilful misrepresentation. I naturally stayed calm throughout.

Currently sitting in Italy according to Thames, should be here within 12 days.
To be fair to Thames i would like to say that they have been nothing short of a joy to deal with. Sometimes slow at responding to e-mails but otherwise supportive and provide accurate information.
Cannot wait to get into mine, has anyone else specced Giallo Prototipo?

Will this be a daily driver or weekend use only? Currently sitting in Italy according to Thames, should be here within 12 days.

Totally understand that, this purchase was a first car for my son. Given my long standing purchases of Alfa's, Fiat's and Abarth's and my interest in the GQF, they should have been on the ball. Think it's why Fiat HQ have gone out of their way to make offers to try their best to help (that I declined as it's not Fiat at fault - the car is fine, it's just the misleading misrepresenting way the dealer acted)Currently sitting in Italy according to Thames, should be here within 12 days.

They were quite good at responding to e-mails and confirmed many questions during the sales process as well - just all changed once money had changed hands. There where other problems as well, however as I say, an agreement was reached in the end, but only at the point I was about to go legal.
Have a search on how much on-line customer feedback you can find, good or bad, not posted by the dealer.
I'm sure you will be fine, just do check everything twice, and hope that if any issues arise after collection, they are resolved.

Not driven mine for a week as I've been using the Evo instead. It's strange how the Evo now seems like such a quiet sensible car in comparison.

I found LV the cheapest, everyone else either quoted silly amounts or wanted it garaged / fitted with a tracker.
It's gonna be my daily for the next two years - no problems as yet however when the weather turns sht I'll be begging for the wifes XC90 keys
