The Alfa Romeo 4C lease thread
Discussion
Go back a few pages as I stated the major issues I had with Thames - sadly nothing would surprise me after my dealings with them. My advice is if they can't meet the expected date then you have good grounds to expect a refund on your deposit. I would none the less log a case with Alfa UK. Alfa can't contractually help but will provide what ever pressure they can on the dealer. I would also log a case with trading standards and keep them updated as to progress as it happens, just so that they are aware of any sharp practice going on.
Both Alfa UK and Slough trading standards have recieved numerous complaints.
Thames have an excellent grip on social media, it's all positive and posted by them, try and post something, anything and you can't, good or bad.
Go in hard, stick to the facts, tell them either to deliver against the order within an agreed timeframe or refund your deposit immediately. Also did you pay the deposit on a credit card, if so contact your card provider for assistance.

Well the lease deal really is on basic stuff to order.
Of the 10 physical cars they got in to offer STUPID deals on, 7 are sold and 3 left as I understand it and the word to me was the stupidly generous deals they had going on the first 7 have covered their financial risk now, so the last 3 will still have deals on but not the buy-me-now outrageous deal previously.

Just had a text message from Mangoletsi if anyone is interested?
Apparently £3995 deposit and then £395 a month. 2 left (offer for today only, (yeah right))!
Got the text too. Would be interested in a lease deal and not PCP. Problem with PCP is these cars could lose huge value in the next two years and then you owe 30k on a car worth 25k and you've already spent 15k...Apparently £3995 deposit and then £395 a month. 2 left (offer for today only, (yeah right))!
At least with a lease you can just give it back and not worry about how the market is going to change. 2014 cars with no spec not up for much less than 40k yet brand new cars with 5k plus options selling for 45k (after discount)? Doesn't add up to me.

The PCP has a gaurenteed future value, mines on a lease but I would happily swap for the current pcp deals on offer!
