These cars are a great alternative to the vag brand and the boring A3.
What is the pick of the engines/trims? Currently doing about 400 miles a week of mixed driving always 5 miles + journeys
If you want to post photos of yours please do along with ownership views!
Any and all info would be appreciated.

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago similar to this as I had been looking for a Giulietta for a while and had found one I liked the look of.
I dont do as many miles as you (only approximately 8000 a year) so ruled out the diesels. I drove a 1.4 (120hp) and the 1.4 TB MultiAir (170hp) and much preferred the latter as it just felt the car suited the extra power. I didnt try the 1.75 Cloverleaf (230hp) model as it was out of my budget.
With regards to the trim I went for the Veloce as I much prefered the half leather/cloth seats to the pure cloth. This rim also gets you different mirror covers and a few other bits. Mine is the darker red (not sure what this is called?) has 17 inch turbine alloy wheels, side skirts and tinted rear windows - a combination which in my biased view looks perfect!
I've only had it just over a week but I love it - it stands out and is a bit different, looks nice and drives really well. It has plenty of power for me and the interior is nice. The only negative I would highlight is the fuel consumption - I wasn't expecting it to be brilliant but in dynamic mode i tend to get low to mid 30's depending on town or motorway etc and had been expecting a bit more!
Any questions just ask!

I have read about the oil services and will definitely keep that in mind!
Thanks just looking at options at the moment, 30mpg doesn't sound too bad. If I got petrol it will be the 170bhp.
Any experience with the diesels or info on whats considered the best diesel engine in these? Reliability its important but would like some go as well.

My wife has a 16 reg 170 hp 1.4tbi - one of the last pre-facelift cars. Now at 14,000 miles over 15 months, average of 40 mpg. Only issue been a replacement DAB radio under warranty.
Exclusive trim so just under the QV, but more comfort focus than Veloce.
My wife came from a R170 SLK and likes the comfort and 'refinement' of the Alfa, but for me a) the steering wheel is too big, b) the pedals are too close together and c) it has no exhaust note and feels pretty numb to drive, my diesel Octavia VRS estate is more involving which is disappointing as I'm a confirmed Italian car fan.

I have a car very similar to your wife's - 65 reg 170 multiair exclusive. I went for the TCT box as I also felt the clutch pedal was too close to the others, and wanted a twin clutch automatic anyway. I did fancy a QV but couldn't justify the added cost.Exclusive trim so just under the QV, but more comfort focus than Veloce.

I'd never really considered the size of the steering wheel, but that's fair comment actually.
Like your wife's car, mine has also had the radio replaced - twice! But had the third unit around a year and no issues with it yet. Had a few other niggles which are all sorted now.
I only get around 30mpg from mine, but do a lot of short trips around town.
I would disagree on it being numb to drive - perhaps so in natural mode, but I find it a lot sharper and more responsive in dynamic mode and it's good to have the choice depending on the circumstances.
