I settled for the Michelin Pilot Super Sport in the original sizes. I bought the AMG ones, bit it now appears that the front are not rated above 300km/h so they need to be replaced with the M specials, that are Ok above it.
I found them a lot more usable than the corsas, even if I also have winter tyres. Outstanding in the rain, and excellent traction in the dry. I’d leave Corsas for track use…
Why didn't you get 4s a better tyre in every respect and in the proper ratings.

Available in correct sizes now and reasonably priced via Asda tyres.

Because I bought them when they were not available in the correct sizes, and I must say I didn’t check they were now. That’ll be for the next rear tyres!

I've just gone for Continental Sport Contact 7's, 255/30/19s up front and 275/30/19 at the rear, mostly because I don't want the slight bit of natural understeer the car has on the OEM setup,

I currently have OEM Pirelli up front and some DEALER fitted 285 Accelera's on the rear, and it is actually pretty ok, nice enough balance, touch oversteery on track if you push hard - worse still in the wet or damp, considering how cheap those Accelera's are its actually not bad, driven normally more than enough for road driving !

Best thing about the Accelera is the natural way it departs and regains grip, all very controllable, even when the rear lets loose at triple digits.

Now I have burned out these cheap rears, the fronts are nearly toast as well, so looking forward to some proper rubber biggrin
