Great collection.
My inspiration was the Alfaholics GTAR with serious grunt. I'd rather build a car with some decent poke than have to thrash a 1600cc lump to death and even with a lot of money thrown at it for road use it's not likely to make great power either reliably or cheaply I guess.
By all means post up your Nord engine build details :-)

The Alfaholics car is a great rolling ad for what they can do, but (even as a massive Alfa fan) I can't imagine spending that kind of money. My inspiration was the Alfaholics GTAR with serious grunt. All my Nords are standard. I've got a couple of "tuned" Alfas - a Savali (NL) Alfa 75 track car (left the factory as a race car) and a 155 Q4( tuned by Squadra Tuning in NL). I'm not a good enough driver to get the best out of the 75 on track, and the 155 reaches license-losing speeds far too easily.
OP - I guess in your case you really need to identify what you really want. I can enjoy my Nord-engined Alfas at (relatively) lower speeds on the road, or stretch their legs on track. They're not super fast - all except the 1300 will easily keep up with modern traffic - but my daily driver 2 liter TDI will effortlessly outpull them. The difference is that my daily driver doesn't put a stupid grin on my face.
I know a few Alfa tuners here in Europe who claim to get 160-180HP out of a Nord (some claim quite a bit more). As mentioned earlier in the thread, if you want maximum power, the twin-spark offers bigger numbers and is doable in terms of installation, although purists would say that it devalues the car.
If the right car came along with a TS fitted at the right price I'd be interested. I'm not a purist in that sense. I just want something reasonably strong and useable. Think I mentioned before somewhere that my sunbeam lotus with 150bhp was a nice balance for a carb powered car that was tractable.
