After six and a half years of V8 HSV joy in my life, the time has come to move onto something a little more sensible. Today, with huge sadness in my heart, I sold my almost 800hp VXR8 Gen-F and purchased a boring sensible German mid sized saloon. Booooooo!!!

I've had some fantastic times and met great people on here, which made it even harder to sell the old girl, but life goes on. It's been a real pleasure and a privilege to have met some of you guys, I'll miss this little chapter of my life very much.

No more engine idle rocking the car from side to side, no more cat-less exhaust fumes whipping back into the cabin, no more back windows down to hear the exhaust when going under bridges, no more loud button, or loud pedal for that matter!

I'll stop by from time to time, and I'll try to maintain the Ultimate HSV Build Register also.

Regards,
Paul.

Paul

What on earth are you thinking of mate, I am lost for words.

Only thing I can say, if this is true, then thank you for your friendship which I hope you will keep in touch, and all the best for the future.

Met you a few times at various meets, first with your 'Flying Bananna', and more recently at the MWP meet earlier this year where you had me rev up your Gen 'F' for you so you could actually hear what your own exhausts sounded like! Always a pleasure to talk to, take care bud. smile

Me too!

He just gave all the reasons to keep it?

Must be something radically wrong there to opt for a "boring" German POS!!!

Paul, I cant believe you're opting for ignominy over standing out from the motoring mediocrity crowd. Good Luck, whatever the reason, we had some great trips.

Me Three Paul, I would have thought you were the last to sell, but sure you have your reasons.

All the best, and fond memories, and sure you are plotting some more in the future

Stay true to the V8 mate.

Start your plans now. Sadly I have committed treason and ordered a Trackhawk.

But I have plans for a V8 Sportswagon (Holden VF2)...

Luckily all V8...
