Private sales very thin on the ground as well
I normally try and help anyone selling them privately. Sold 4 this year now. Sales picking up. 2014 Competizione Rosso went a couple of weeks ago for good money. Spec just needs to be right.

Amazing they didn’t offer leather for the door cards and windscreen pillars. Even as an option. The weirdness of heated door mirror mirrors with no heated rear window and a single din stereo with no nav is bizzare. Carbon tub for light weight with a rear tailgate that weighs loads. Crazy mish mash, great car.
Engine keeps the rear screen clear in the coupe.

Mirrors have been useful on mine in the cooler months.

I've just taken out the single din and fitted an Alpine Halo9 unit with CarPlay. Its perfect now.

Agree on the Mirrors & Engine heated rear screen in the coupe but with 2 screens to look through rear vision through the middle of the car is poor but the door mirrors are really good, that's probably why they are heated.

The stereo in my newer car for me is fine, I use Waze on my phone as sat nav in all our cars so for me built in nav is obsolete , If you have one of the earlier cars with the parrot unit that for me was complete pants

I do a fair few road trips in mine (including taking it to Italy once a year). I used to use my iPhone but only on audio as there is nowhere you can really store the phone to look at the maps. So I needed a car play solution with a decent screen.

Like you mine gets quite well used and gets into Europe every year and strangely the run always seems to include Italy. Re the Phone I use one of those phone holders that fits to the inside of the screen on a suction mount . for the price the quality is good https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/p/-/-/-/-/?55...

I use Waze for nav as its the best for showing speed traps etc & has a great base mapping system & is user interactive

How does that Halo9 look in the dash? Does it obscure the centre air vents at all?

I did think about one of those singe DIN tray style where the display can be retracted but they look as cheap as shiote, makes I've never heard of and I suspect mapping that comes in pigeon English matching the use manual

Its's adjustable up and down by a fair bit so you could have it covering the vents or have it down just covering the buttons for the locking, AC and mirror demist. I can probably count the number of times I have flicked the switches on one hand so didn't mind having them covered from the front. However, they are still easily reachable but just putting your hand under the screen. I'm super pleased with the install and as it was alpine to alpine, everything just plug and plays. You need to buy a DAB aerial and also attached the GPS antenna somewhere but as the dash is mostly open underneath its easy to do.

The unit only came out in the last 2 weeks in the UK so no deals to be had. RRP £769 but for the quality I'm pretty happy with that.

I installed myself. Took about an hour as you need to fiddle about screwing the screen on etc... try not to do what I did and drop a screw under one of the seats. banghead

It's very easy to fit through ultimately.

Happy to be the guinea pig so you can all order one now hahaha.

A couple of Launch Edition cars have popped up in PH Classifieds with traders that look suspiciously cheap? I'd have thought these would fetch a premium (given I've seen one with delivery miles up @£49K) but £37k for a 4,000 mile example looks good? The other on 10k is up at £38k.

The Meridien car if its clean is an amazing price for someone.

The Safwat car is well priced if you ask me.

I sold a competizione rosso (which you couldn't get for the launch edition funnily enough) for over 36 just last month and that had 6K on the clock.

I think the Launch Editions are stunning as they have a lot of kit.

Agree on the Safwat car. But it begs the question why the big spread on pricing as the Millenium car up at £49k is top money albeit delivery miles only and destined for a collection.

What do you consider to be the "right" spec for a 4C?

£595 per year. Bargain, not that they really go wrong.
Also be interested in further details of this warranty - is that the Alfa one? There is very little information available on the Alfa website!

I'd say the larger wheels, race exhaust, rear PDC and NOT racing suspension (unless you intend to track it). Leather dash gets rid of the horrible plastic and despite the leather/alcantara sports seats being the most expensive seat option I prefer all leather. Don't get the cloth only seats.

Spot on

Comoetizone Red is a safe bet for resale and imho looks the best although grey is classy. cruise control I feel is a must have , it’s just to easy to go far to quickly on long journeys , red calipers are nice.

Race Exhaust nice but not essential as the alfaworks aftermarket is better so if your looking at a car without race that ticks the other boxes don’t let that rule it out

Re suspension I’ve found non race pretty good on the track but haven’t been in a car with race and wouldn’t want anything stiffer than the non race for general road, especially with the state of our roads ( cart tracks )

I had cloth only seats in the first car and whilst I think they breathed better in hot weather they were a xxxx!! To keep clean so agree I would avoid

I had 2 with the spider lights , on the first car which was an early one they were useless , even bigger bulbs didn’t really help , on the one I got a year ago they are rather good

Thankfully the fkin great grin comes std whatever spec you have

Mine is a pauper spec with only Alfa red, race exhaust and rear parking sensors with cruise ticked.

Cloth seats for me.

Yep I think that's nailed it, which comes with the car regardless of options! The tip I got from the main dealer (who had sold all their stock!) was buy the newest lowest mileage you can although condition would be top of my list.

I would be wary of early cars out of warranty, some had a few niggles , all sorted under warranty but if you find a low miler and intend it as a car to be used rather than a potential investment your now possibly going to have to pay. And with any low miler make sure it’s got full service history , I’ve heard of some where services were skimpt on due to cost but it’s time driven as well as miles as it’s hand built

Personally it’s a balance between miles and condition so judge every car at face value but I think that’s stating the obvious for most people .

I’ve had no issues with either car I’ve owned apart from a few niggles when brand new but I’m a little picky , so don’t be put off by miles , I did 16000 in the first one and the latest has 11000 in a year

It’s all a judgement, do you want an ornament / potential investment to occasionally take out and show off so mileage critical or are you buying something to just drive and enjoy, the way Alfa intended , great car whichever side of that fence you sit on !!
