They are horrible for maintenance, but you already knew that

Too expensive for what they are though, and a bit of a barge.

There is one for sale in germany for about 2.5k

Yeah, you are stupid. They are only incredibly great fun to drive, very understated, tunable to a reliable 260bhp for under a grand, beautiful handling and ridiculously good value for money. Yeah, don't get one.

With a properly setup chip (e.g. Evocars) plus uprated fuel pressure and a SS exhaust, that is easily achieveable.

(I know evocars are no longer in business, but their well-known and reliable chip is widely available.)

Sadly they are no more. The website is still there, but you won't get anything from them. Barry Waterhouse has retired to Sardinia, and as of about 6 weeks ago they ceased trading. A great shame in Integrale circles.

Some of their parts have been available on Ebay, and an Integrale consortium is currently being set up and also buying the rest of what remains.
