I have 2006 Fiat Grande Punto 1.9 Mjet Sporting 130 with about 82,000 miles on it.

I have had the M32 gearbox main bearings renewed, and the next issue, ( which I have had since I bought the car in November, ie over 4,000 miles ago ) will be the DMF/clutch as it is rattling on tickover unless I put the clutch pedal down to load it up.

My question is....has anyone direct experience of fitting a single mass flywheel/clutch/CSC on a car like this ( or an Alfa 1.9JTD)?

I am tempted to go for the single flywheel conversion, as I would then only have the clutch to replace next time.

I am aware of some of the issues that people say on forums, about the extra vibration etc transmitted to the gearbox, but surely every car had single flywheels before DMFs came along.
I would like to know if anyone has had this conversion done ( there are a few kits available for it ).

I use the car for my 70 mile round commute, on decent A roads/motorways, very little traffic so not much stop start etc.

I also am considering getting a remap after the clutch is done...I have the same engine in my 156 Alfa 1.9JTD and the remap was the best £200 I have ever spent on any car. Therefore I would assume that it is easier to upgrade the clutch if it has a SMF ?

Thanks
