Anyone fitted slightly higher profile tyres to their 595?
The winter tyres are 205/45/17 but I am not using the Abarth except at weekends, car events and Abarth meets so I don't think I will have them fitted after 3 years.I have a Skoda Citigo as a daily runner so I might consider getting cheap winter tyres for it.

Can't wait my comp in circuit grey/black alloys lands in 2022
I have to say mine is growing on me a bit more each day. Wasn't my ideal choice as you know and were it not for the financial offering I wouldn't have touched it with someone else's barge pole but it seems, much like Ebeneezer Goode, it's very much maligned and misunderstood. It's not anything like the heap I was expecting it to be and I enjoy going out for a quick jaunt when necessary.Edited by Hugo Stiglitz on Thursday 25th November 18:24
The suspension, engine and seating position were things I was expecting to annoy and the seating position is odd until you get moving then you forget about it. Suspension is much more forgiving than I was led to believe - I was coming from a current generation Cooper S but one with adaptive dampers and I don't find most ruts and imperfections any more jarring than I did in that and the engine is a peach when it's in its sweet spot and I can pull overtakes I wouldn't have countenanced in the Cooper S. But you have that power only briefly and you have to have it primed!
It also corners very flatly. There genuinely is a lot to like. The things I don't like on it make me laugh more than annoy me. Like the rubbish noise from inside compared to how good the Akrapovic sounds outside. And having to open the fuel cap with your key! And the door cards with their distinct FSO-like quality to them!
I think the trip computer may be wellll out on fuel economy though. It's hard to judge until I brim it and you don't know how you opinion is skewed by the tiny tank on it. But I have an inkling it's more than an acceptable degree away from reality.
I also thought that the white wheels of an Esseesse were going to be something I loathed, but its amazing how quickly you come round to them!
But yeah - I think you'll like. I already don't miss my Cooper S. I think were it for daily use on my old commute, the absence of cruise control would grind me down, but I already knew that wasn't going to be an issue and it was only ever going to enjoy sporadic trips out of the garage.

Somewhat weirdly. I have a set of discs and pads for a 2018 comp here as well should anyone need them
They’re about £370 a pair for the disks and over £100 for pads currently. Sell them if you don’t need them.
