Abarth 595 Competizione as a daily?
Discussion
Hi All
Just touching upon the aerial button, does anyone have this installed with the Sat Nav option?
Picked up a 2018 Comp a few weeks ago with the Aerial button installed, the Sat Nav doesn’t get a GPS fix but the compass is working fine??
Spoke to Abarth countless times to check connections on the Uconnect Live services and they reckon everything fine on their end, Dealer wants £135.00 to just diagnose what the issue is, after doing some research of my own and finding the original stalk aerial in the boot I’ve come to the conclusion that either the aerial isn’t wired up or installed properly, the FM stereo has an external aerial that sticks on the back window, what about the DAB version?

So the comps all came with stalk aerials accept the performance pack equipped cars which had the button. You could for £100 get the button aerial as an option and the FM/DAB aerial is built into the rear glass on the right hand side. And looks like this:Just touching upon the aerial button, does anyone have this installed with the Sat Nav option?

If yours doesn’t look like that I suspect someone’s just purchased the plug and swapping back might fix the problem if the GPS uses that as a signal?

I had a 2018 Comp with the PP and genuinely have no idea what either of you are on about?
The car aerial on normal models is like a bee sting coming out the roof. The comp with performance pack or as an optional extra could replace that with a metal disc
If it had the disc fitted then the aerial was in the rear right window.

Thinking of trading up our 1.2 500s (which was bought to get the kids through their driving tests) to an abarth. Would i be right in assuming that a comp’ will have an LSD if it has a button on the roof, but not if it has a bee sting
Yes and no. You actually need to look for all the signs of the performance pack as you could spec them as options. Button aerial
Carbon backed seats
Supersport wheels
Side stripes
Mirror covers and front lip in black white or red.
There will also be a sticker on the diff if you can get your head in the engine bay.
I’ve noticed a lot of dealers reselling don’t know this is a pack as it won’t be on the V5 so don’t mention it as so.
Thanks, one of the ones on my list is at a citroen dealer, so assuming they dont know anything about abarth. What are the supersport wheels - this one has 17s in black with silver bits around the edge. Seems to be packing the other things in that list.
Do all the comps have climate and the large screen with nav - 2016 year
At risk of someone else whizzing down and buying before i get there!

gotcha - missing the carbon back seats for a start
(looks ace, btw)
I am feeling the LSD would be worth having (Can still remember the torque steer of my old punto GT turbo - which had been breathed on to about 150bhp)
would the consensus be that it is worth seeking out?
