I do like a carbon dash!

Are the new seats by sabelt or have abarth tried to do their own?

Shame you can’t get the carbon clam shells any more.
The dash was something I just thought that if i'm spending all that money, I might as well just go all out! Like you say though, shame the seats don't have the carbon shell any more to match.

Yep, they are Sabelt, they have the little tag on the side of the seat base.

Picked up the wheels yesterday, so we coated them last night and will get them on the car at the weekend! Can't wait!! I need to get some miles on the little thing!!

I’ve been doing some cosmetic bits on mine - proper mods will be next in line.

New decals, wheel badges, sunstrip - I’ve gone sticker mad!

I've got stickers too! Ha ha. Wheel badges to match the car and front and rear; not sides as I have the 70th anniversary ones.

Bonnet dampers, real tailgate strap and short shift are also all in a box to fit as well!

The shorter bolsters is just a joke, they are watering down the brand. If you bought a comp it was meant to be a kind of serious car, now I guess you have to buy the esseesse? I think it has carbon backs but what about bolster height?

Just looked on the configurator and the Competizione only has these 'GT' option, whereas the EsseEsse has the Carbon ones.

Whether or not the Carbon will also have the shorter bolster or not is anyone's guess until the cars arrive.... The options change so often it's impossible to keep up!

What's the best way to sell a MY18 595 Comp (full spec - bar carbon seats).

We got the car from the Slough dealership, like my Elise is it worth giving them a call to see if they'd want it? Is WBAC worth a go? Or is it the stress of selling privately (wife's car and so I'd like to avoid it).

Also for those selling how is the market atm?

Btw the tenuous link to post in this thread is that this was sort of our daily.....

Apologies for the delay, I didn't see your replies till after the weekend and not had a chance to get out to take some pics. Hopefully these show the difference.

You can see that the base bolsters are not as high here:

I can understand why they've tried to make the seats softer, but it just doesn't work. The base is too soft for the back which they have not really touched. If they wanted a softer seat they needed to do it to the whole seat. You've now got this weird mix of firm and squidgy! I loved the Sabelts cos they were proper sports seats. If you want softer, then surely you just go for the standard seats?

I miss these so much...

Anyway, just cos...

Are the bolsters lower or is it that they've added a huge slug of foam to the base padding? In which case not only will your bottom feel squidgy driving along but you'll sit even higher

Yes the only thing missing is the carbon seats and the LSD. Otherwise if you could tick it we got it (including the actually rather nice metal petrol cap)

Can you PM me the details - I’ve been looking for another one. It has to have a sunroof - my mate that it’s for doesn’t like carbon so that’s fine.

Sorry missed the message. Will put something together and send it across when I'm home tonight

I'm not sure, but it certainly does feel a lot higher than I remember from my previous car. I can only hope that over time it will compress a bit.

I've still not driven it since I picked it up as two of the freshly painted wheels have marks on from where they rushed fitting the tyres. Not impressed! I've got the fronts on, but the rear end is still jacked up and OH is dropping the wheels back off this afternoon.

But, need to share this somewhere... I'm so pleased with how this looks!! Desperate to get all four on and some proper pics!!

It’s my silly car so I wanted to change the badges - I saw some of Garry’s work (abarth badge decals) and really liked the storm trooper ones he made but they were ltd edition. I was a bit stuck for what to go with, Mrs P loves Boba Fett so there we go.

Very good quality, very easy to fit too. Mine are custom so we worked through the design a good few times before I was happy. Front, rear, sides and steering wheel centre badge £35.

He can do whatever u ask him too. I’ve since added a sunstrip and I’m waiting for the proofs of a scuderia decal for the lower boot edge.

If it was a serious car, I wouldn’t be going for star wars stickers, but it still makes me laugh.

They are great. They make a fun little car, that little bit more fun. :-)

I got mine from Garry too. I only went for front and back as I have the 70th anniversary side badges. But got centre caps for the wheels.

Do the wheel badges replace or just stick over. A few of mine are starting to bubble so would like to replace.

His stick over the originals.

If you want the whole thing - MSR have them in quite a few colours.
