The thread prompted me to look at the website. Those deals look surprisingly attractive.

Not sure about the 695, maybe it's the colour. Essesse looks fun though. Can imagine the reaction though.

WMP Traffic bod "Wtf, we bloody told you in writing these things were being nicked left, right and centre."

Yup, I really like it, can't find any info on it though just pics so far! Have a call in to my supplying dealer to see what they can dig out for me, if its just a rebadged comp I'll leave it but if its a bit more then I will get it ordered!
42kg of downforce in top position at 124mph.

Apparently podium blue is an option. Off to the dealer for me.
Issue for me is that it is indeed a comp rebadged and sprayed, slightly different spolier and seats and different colour dont really sell it for me to be honest.

Not even a comp, its a pista/turismo rebadged as it has the 165 engine not the 180, but it gets the diff etc as well. Shame otherwise I would have been at the dealers this afternoon getting one ordered.

ETA - Actually looks like it is a 180bhp not the 165. [sigh] off to the dealers!

Considering how well the bisposto did (or at least is now retrospectively admired) why can't they make a true special not just a pre determined colourway special?

Agghhh.... So I have a rattle.

It's only when going along over bumps, so okay on smooth roads. It's metallic, but doesn't sound like its anything heavy. Its not overly noticeably inside the car with windows shut, but windows down it's clearly there, and my husband could clearly hear it when he was following me in the car behind.

I thought maybe a heat shield, but got under the car and none of them seemed lose. Any other ideas what to possibly check? I really don't want to have to take it back to the dealer, but the car is only 3 months old with 850 miles on it. Surely that's too soon for the Monza valve to go!

Thanks

My monza has rattled since I collected it but I don't really notice it apart from when I'm doing slow speeds.

Whereabouts is your rattle coming from?

A few weeks on and I'm loving my car.

Power is great, love the looks, love the seats, love how it handles, the kids ask to be taken to school in it instead of the other cars, so all going to plan for the moment.

Still haven't quite got used to the high seating position. I've seen that you can get a lowering kit but I assume it's still a fixed position so that would make it too low for my wife. It's true that you forget about it once you're on the move though.

I didn't realise when I did the test-drive that they lack a lot of the mod cons- no auto lights, no auto wipers, no rear camera etc. But the only one I really miss is cruise control.

The wipers are hilarious - I used to have an original 60's 500 and the wipers were just about as flimsy as these ones. Seem to do the job though. It's a strange mix really, most of the touch points feel chunky and good quality, like the seats, steering wheel and handbrake. But other (standard 500) bits like the door cards, dash top, indicator stalk let it down a bit IMO. Still, I guess that's how they achieve the price.

Strange that the driver's window has both auto up and down, but the passenger one is auto down only. And the dash doesn't seem to dim automatically at night or when the lights are on?

I do wonder if my Monza valve works. I can't hear any difference when pressing the button. Is that something that dealers will fix under warranty? I still have a few months left according to the original invoice, I guess they will honour it even though I'm the second owner

The original monza has a valve that opens at about 3.5k revs, only the newest ones open when the sport button is pressed.

It's very common for the original ones to seize, I would have a look to see if yours is, if it is get down to the dealer and ask them to replace it.

You can buy a lowering kit and it's well made however the brackets don't have the lateral connecting tubes of the original so it put me off and having took the seat out I stuck it all back in the box! I'm a bit doubtful what would happen in a nasty crash and the suppliers do have a disclaimer to that effect. I'm still tempted but hmm.......

Mines just past the one year mark and Ive just passed 18k miles. Still working flawlessly and we've just come back from a weekend away to Paris with my local club.

Perfect colour combo! Just a quick question regarding servicing. I am looking to daily one of these at about 15k per year. Are the service intervals every 10k miles? Just a cost to factor in when doing the man maths!

From what I can tell its at the rear. It's only rattling when going over bumpy surfaces and it doesn't seem to be affected when steering. The car feels fine when I'm driving it. Wont get a chance to jack the car up until the weekend annoyingly.

2018 is the giveaway. Yours will be the spring loaded valve.

Another easy way to check is press the sport button. If the exhaust changes in tone the moment it's pressed then you have the new monza.

If nothing happens at all - yours is the spring loaded one - and you'll then have to check if has seized. To do that, park the back passenger wheel on the kerb and get under her.

You'll see the below behind the left back wheel.

Where is says OPEN in the image is facing forwards and closed is towards the back of the car.

Another image added for clarity.

Mine is a 2018 model and has the vacuum activated valve. It was changed in the second half of 2018 so in theory it could be either. Easiest way to check is actually tailpipe design, if you have these is the spring valve:

If you have these its the vac valve:
