Well, a sad day, the Abarth has just been dropped off at WBAC, I had done just 300 miles since covid hit and it was costing me money sat on the drive not moving and in an unusual situation where I was offered more than I owed on it to move it on, so off it went.

A bit gutted, was a great car I will really miss it. If anyone later on ends up with a Red Abarth 595 with the performance pack and the reg ends SLU please drop me a PM would be happy to share prior history and also know if it has gone to a good home!

What did they offer geeks? (If u don’t mind) - my valuation has risen a lot over the past couple of months.

What you moving on to?

£14890, went slightly less as it had a scratch in the passenger door that was done at Cadwell Park when I was helping out the PH lot, no note or anything which left a bitter taste (not at PH but the person who did it) but it cleared the finance and left me a little cash left over so not the end of the world.

Replacement will most likely be an E46 330 Touring I have my eye on that I am hopefully going to see tomorrow.

Finally picked them up today and was told I’d ordered them at the right time.
There’s been a 20% parts price increase in the past few weeks. That pushes these discs up to £360 a pair.

I have some Brembo pads a front and rear set knocking around if anyone wants them? They were for a 2018 Comp.

New F595 edition announced...looks good. Just different colours mainly but vertically stacked quad pipes (Monza Sovrapposto). Based on 165 version.

Not sure if i'm allowed to share pics from another site? Haven't been on here some some time now.......

There’s a thread on the home page about it. Doesn’t look like anything special - not sure why they always power these specials with the 165 hp set up.

As a 595 owner, even I’m tired of the never ending special editions.

Picked up my first abarth last weekend. Just a standard 595 140, looks like one of the last 2016 cars before the facelift.

Only issue is first time I filled up the EML came on, car is driving fine. Ive read online that if fuel cap isn’t 100% tight it can trigger a code…?

I’ve got got 2 code readers neither of which would talk to the car… is this anything anyone else has come across? It’s got 12 month warranty but surprise surprise the selling dealer won’t take my calls…

What seats would be better to get lower/more adjustable ?and better for a passenger in the rear)?

I have a choice of a 180 Essesse or 165 Turismo. I don't know what comes stock in those?

180 esseesse has sabelts so no height adjustment both the standard seats and sabelts will be the same for a passenger in the rear.

The 180 is the better car all round along with the sabelts being more supportive. I’m 6’3” and had no issue with the lack of height adjustment.

Thanks - I mean does the sabelts v standard cause any legroom issues for rear passengers or same/no problem. I've sat in a PHers but only the front passenger seat- is the drivers seat as 'high' as the passenger seat?

Both sabelts are fixed so are at the same height. I’ve had 2 5’8” or thereabouts passengers in the back for journeys of 30min but I wouldn’t want to put anyone through that for longer. Headroom is more the issue than legroom.

I had Turismo seats in my first and have Sabelts in my current. The Turismos adjust for height (driver’s side) but they never felt right when lowered significantly. The Sabelts feel better even though they’re higher. But I am a shortie

After only 6 weeks with the Abarth I’m moving on already. Shortest honey moon period with any car, but a number of niggling faults and a constant uphill fight with dealer to try and fix it has soured the whole experience for me. It’s going back again this week to try and sort the EML which is still lit… there’s a potential I can reject it if they fail to fix it again, but if not I’ll pawn it off onto WBAC and take the hit.

Looking to pull the trigger on a Abarth 595 180 Essesse - found a decent lease £233pm on a 3/35. Compared to dealer PCP's its very cheap!

Big change as its replacing a 2019 Merc E350 convertible. Like alot of people since covid we do alot less mileage so its really for around town, gym daily.

Couple of qu
- hows are the Konis on the motorway and around town?
- does it attract scumbags? We live in a decent area but it will be on the drive

Kids are 16/14 and tall, weve a big car for family duties so most of the time it will just be me or the missus driving it

But your saying at somepoint 3 or even 4 of you will be in it.

My sons 11 so not a big deal and there is only 3 of us max.

My concern is a jilting ride.

I've had this on a Type R. I binned that car within 3 weeks.
