thanks for the info re the GC yellow car. I quite fancy it but would either be wrapped or that spray on peelable paint thing people seem to have moved on to

Quite a bit of exposed paintwork on the interior of the doors that'd have to be wrapped too...

Would be interesting to see what a respray would cost, with many of the panels easily removable they could be sprayed off the car which may save some money, agreed you need time to strip and refit but masking panels on car is a time consuming exercise

Personally I think yellow really suits the 4c but I know it’s perhaps the least desirable colour. Changing the colour would surely devalue the car in the long term..
A wrap is going to be circa 2k, that’s probably the route I’d go if the colour was a deal breaker.

If you mean Madreperla then it is quite sought after and can carry a premium!

"Mother of pearl"

I would prefer it to the standard white i have

does anyone know the yellow spider for sale at GC?

it seems to me this has potentially all of the right Alfaworks bits on it, although it doesnt say its their re-map

I dont really want a yellow car but frankly cheaper to wrap or that sprayable paint protection thing than pay for all the mods

did anything ever come of a removable hardtop in place of the fabric roof?

as per previous poster I have also been flirting with an A110 but i think for this kind of car I'd prefer roof down

i've had elises and even a 340R so i'm imaging this is quite usable in comparison?

cheers

This is my old car, I sold it to them around a month ago.

I have nothing to do with the dealer they simply responded to my advert to sell, paid the money and sent someone to collect it.
I would say they were more of a pleasure to deal with that other 4C self proclaimed 'specialists' I had the misfortune to try and deal with.

Its a VERY good car, only missing the leather dash... been 100% reliable, I bought it with 1400miles on the clock and it was an actual Alfa Romeo dealer that owned it from new before me and being a showroom car is the reason it did so few miles before my purchase.
I paid for a 3 year warranty when I purchased the car, turned out to be a pleasurable waste of money smile

I used it daily, it has a remap and the AW intermediate blocks and is a pleasure to drive.... It had the bolt tightening at 1200 miles and 2 years later a couple of months before i sold it.

I have a 700bhp carbon bodied Noble hence I only purchased the 4c to fill the period while I was doing a rebuild of that.

I know the previous owner of the yellow spider, the car had a big service at AW not long ago including the cambelt.
Could you ask him what happened to all the ancillaries such as tyre inflation kit, windscreen wash fill up kit, oil cap removal tool, cleaning kit, indoor cover and roof bag as they’re all missing.
I didn't receive any of those, you could contact Vospers in Exeter as I originally purchased the car from them.

I did however purchased the cleaning kit and indoor cover from an owner on the FB page.

Andy...I was about to ask if that was the Vospers car before I saw your second post. It certainly drove fine when I was looking at it. I was choosing between that and one of the new Mango coupes.

And to those who think Madraperla white looks good...you are colour blind. I think it looks horrific.

Remind us what colour of Delta integrale you had, help us to calibrate your judgement on colours... wink

(it was “manky green”, iirc)

I have the Rosso Red, but I was really impressed when I saw the Basalt grey. Great colour.

Dumb question - but would a 6 foot 3 bloke fit in this motor?

Depends if you're legs or torso. I'm 6'1 but all legs and I fit easily and comfortably, even with a helmet on.

Thats interesting, thank you. I need to drive this - I fitted in most of the cars on a recent track day, wearing a helmet. The California was the most cramped - but nicest motor on that day. (R8 a bag of nails).

I’m 6’ 3.5” with a 34” inside leg.
I found there’s more room in the 4C than in my Exiges.

There is ample room inside, in fact I think supremely comfy and spacious. Take your shoes off, extend your feet behind the peddles and it’s very relaxing. Only car I’ve ever really been able to stretch out in like that. I’m 6ft.
