Feel honoured to have owned one of the twelve 2018 spiders - YS18 ZWG. My current 2016 spider seems common as muck now hehe

Coupes are rarer than rag tops so in time values will be firmer . The last cars in the US, the 33 run out models are $80,000 new . Reselling at just over 100

Debate values anyway you want but just know depreciation going forward won’t be an issue

UK coupes outnumber spiders. Not sure global.
I’m happy to be corrected and genuinely staggered at those figures for the UK

Globally it may be the other way round as production of the spyder carried on in the states for some time after the coupe was stopped

I am absolutely loving driving mine, very addictive smile

Surprised to see only 2 cars for sale on Autotrader and a few more on PH; I am not sure most of those advertised on here are actually available, especially as one of them is mine!

Not that it affects me as I think mine is a keeper, but it seems prices are only going to go one way.

The number of 4C’s for sale seems to be increasing since the new Lotus was launched. Coincidence?

Maybe just a coincidence…. Am biased as I have a deposit down but I’ve already voted with my switch from 4C to Exige!

It doesn’t look as though they’re doing a soft top version which unfortunately counts me out. It does look a stunning car though and for the price a relative bargain.

Agreed. I had a deposit down before the reveal this week, curious to see the final spec and option pricing !

I was offered a basic spec 2018/68 coupe for £31,400 6 months back, at the time there were plenty of used ones for £34k - the price on these has jumped hugely in 6 months.

All sporty cars have jumped in price although it looks like 4C’s have probably increased the most. Anyone who bought this time last year will be sat on a healthy profit.

They’ve flown up. My purchase in February this year has probably already gone up. I’m very tempted by the new Lotus however I’m also mindful that despite its flaws the 4C will go on to be a fine classic car in years to come given its carbon tub and rarity in the UK.

I agree. There is no way I would sell a 4C for an Emira. As fantastic as the Emira appears to be it’s a different beast to the 4C.

So despite picking up a 4C myself a few months back I'm still regularly checking the prices. There were some cars at low 40's but it seems that you'll need £45k to join the party at the moment.

Crazy that the prices have gone up about £8-£10k in the last 2-3 years.

You joined party late, they were low 30’s a year back....

I’m sure a rough looking high mileage one was close to 30K a couple of years ago, although a price never to be seen again I would think.

I was offered a relatively basic spec coupe in black with the spider headlights. 68 plate with 8,000 miles.grade 1 so mint.

Ex Alfa lease offered through auction, I provisionally won it at £30,200 but vendor asked £30,600 - stupidly I declined....

So I've been looking at this

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202111159...

As a possible replacement for my 360 which is leaving these shores in a couple of weeks.

Having not followed the 4C market I'm wondering whether this price includes "covid inflation" or whether it's a genuine reflection of the market... any thoughts?

It looks a nice car but with pointing out that didn’t have the leather dash which most generally regard as being important to “lift” the interior given the switch gears humble origins…
It’s worth checking if it’s had the big 5 year service yet which will cost north of £1k, in addition check if it’s got the Alfa Workshop blocks fitted which will help calm down the handling.
The price I think reflects the market for a 4c spider now given how few cars there are. It’s worth contacting Joe Quinn for his opinion - he sells more 4c’s than most snd may know that car.
Good luck with the search, the 4c is a very special little car!

Thanks for the in-depth reply, I really know very little about the 4c other than looking around one in some detail at the Dubai motorshow many years ago.

There are other possible replacements on my list too, but this little car just seems a touch more special than the norm (and I'm a bit of an Alfa fan anyway, this would be my 4th!)

No problem, just out of interest what are the other cars on your list?
