That'll be another ex-FCA car. They are currently de-fleeting all their press cars and corporate demonstrators now the 4C coupe is no longer available in the UK. I can tell by the reg. Will be a great buy for someone.
Out of interest, how can you tell by the reg??

Yes they all start with a WV prefix I think.

A car that no-one has actually owned and guaranteed to have been driven hard from new by a huge number of different drivers? err...I'd pass, but then again people buy ex-demonstrators and ex-rental cars, so maybe that's just me!

give me a more basic car with provenance any day:

I'm not sure the 'provenance' will stack up? Will it have 3 annual main dealer service stamps in the book? How can it be 'dry stored' from new if it's done 2,700 miles? It is base spec with no leather (dash or seats) and smaller wheels albeit race exhaust. Given it has the aftermarket suspension upgrade that could indicate the car has been driven enthusiastically?

Personally I'd want leather (all or part) as a minimum. Having said all that its a good price and good bodywork/exposed carbon.

Got to say I agreed. There's also going to be a lot of these poverty spec coupes coming through next year as the cheap lease deals of 2 years ago start coming to an end. There really doesn't seem to be much of a spread in prices at the moment so I'd look for the highest spec car available. I also think the coupe needs the larger wheels to look right.

Not totally sure what FCA means, are these ex Alfo Promo cars

If yes there was a coupe somewhat modified at the Goodwood festival, it was white and I was told that went back to Italy to be repaired, it may not have come back but if it did and there's a white one going proceed with caution

I completely take your point, and of course the history would need to stack up. I do just mean than it's easy to get hung up on the spec of a particular car, rather than look at the full picture. It's easy to say 'I'd like a car with X options', but now that no-one is able to tick boxes on an order form any more, I'd rather be looking for a low ownership/low mileage car with a verifiable history than be swayed by a different one just because it has big wheels or leather.

Prices on al cars for sale are very closely aligned. The private sale cars are close to retail given some haggling. The litmus test for values comes in the next few months. Are dealers going to just hold stock through the winter?

There's a bit of turmoil elsewhere in the market on many other brands so that to an extend will have an effect on the 4C, it may even hold up well as the expensive stuff gets harder to sell, its all a wait & see & driven more by the general economy

100% agree. I always buy on condition and history. The Mangoletsi car is one owner (Alfa), only 1,500 miles and has a desirable spec. I'd be considering it if I was in the market for another.

What are peoples thoughts on selling one of these privately? We moved into central'ish Manchester last year and I store my 4C out in the sticks so I've only managed to put 2000 miles on it in 12 months. Now i've bought the other half a new 595C Turismo I can only see it getting used less.
I've read a few SORN horror stories and at this moment (4 car household) i'm not looking to PX into something else.

If the car is in warranty then no reason why not to have a go, but of the several cars I've sold, only one has been paid for with cash and all the others have been financed. Not many finance companies will honour sales from private sellers.

Drop my an email with the details of the car Rudy. I'll have a look at it for you and give you a valuation.

You've put more miles on it than most with your limited use. Infrequent use tends to highlight the uniqueness of these cars. I'll be SORNing mine at the end of this month.

I would have SORNed last month but FCA have agreed warranty claim on the PPF factory fitted (by Stevie Wonder) and told me to find a place local that does it and get a quote which they'll pay. Finding somewhere local North Cheshire/South Manchester is proving problematic and in the ideal world I'd prefer a home fitting given I've got the garage space.

That’s interesting to know - the PPF on my bonnet has bubbled on one edge, about 5cm long.

They have replaced PPF on quite a few cars so nothing new. Re fitting you may have the garage space but it wont be as dust free as theirs & they will have to bring additional lighting.
On mine I dropped it at the dealers, they sorted it & gave me a loaner

Hope this is ok- If anyone is looking for some genuine Alfa Romeo Carbon wing mirror caps, I have a pair at a substantially cheaper price than Alfa Romeo charge. I also have some genuine Alfa Romeo Italian flag badges which fit on the lower rear flanks of the 4c. Pm me if you'd like more details.
