I would LOVE some leather door cards with red stitching like that. Is there any replacement parts websites in the US stocking them?
My understanding is door cars are very expensive - the leather cubby box is £500! With import duty etc it is easier and cheaper to have a trimmer undertake the work. From memory I was quoted c£700 for the pair with contrast stitching as I don't think its a difficult job.

I will investigate the leather door cards. They have additional airbags in the top of the door cars for USA regs, so these are probably also hard coded into the ecu.

Will let you all know. I have found some for sale....

If anyone is interested there's a red 4C going through BCA @ Bedford tomorrow. Black interior. It's less then 2 years old (registered 31/3/17) with just under 10.5k miles. It's a Grade 1 car with full history.

Registration is MV17HCN. Lot # ALP026.

It would be interesting what it makes. Alas, I won't be able to see the result

Mad couple of weeks for 4C sales.

Every time I go to create the market index the prices adjust as cars sell again.

I've sold 4 in the last 2 weeks so they are very fluid. Also very specification dependent.

The auto100 car keys have gone missing FYI, that's one of the reasons its been on the market for ages. That and the cheap tyres it's had fitted.

Spec dependant being?

I assume leather dash a major factor now?

Saw my first one on the road this week, must say it looked bloody great and sounded surprisingly good too! Was expecting the usual 4 pot buzz but it was far far better than that.

Bracknell near Tesco's … not the most salubrious of places! It was red, looked great.

Leather dash isn't as important as you'd think actually. It was a must have last year for buyers, but seems less of a concern now.

Larger alloys are highly desirable. As is the race exhaust.

73/74 will see you return 44mpg, ie the pre boom speed.

2000 miles a month on mway and local traffic returns around 41mpg.
Hi
Thinking of getting a 4c, but commute 70 miles each way three times a week, and 125 miles home on Fridays . Will the 4c be too stressful or can it cope well with motorway miles in some comfort?

If the seat is good and not too loud at a cruise I can cope with ride harshness for handling reward when I hit the A roads

The 4c eats up miles in some comfort , ive done some very long journeys in mine and it was fine , we’ve done Italy twice and it just swallowed up the miles, we did the same trip in an Abarth 500 and that left me feeling really fatigued in comparison to the 4c. The 4c is very light and as such the springs are quite light .
The noise is a subjective thing , I’ve got the alfaworks exhaust and that’s very pleasant on long runs , I’ve heard the race exhaust can be a bit boomy at motorway speeds .
For you cruise control will I think be a must have as are reversing sensors
The other thing yiu need to check is whoever you are there are decent width parking spaces as you need a bit of room to get in and out.
The other bonus is the car when driven gently is extremely economical

Hi - just wondered if the price index is for public knowledge? I really appreciated the buying guide and because of that bought a 17 Spider Rosso red , carbon fibre roll bar and hide seats , leather dash, race exhaust/tyres/suspension.
It’s done 2500 and I’ll be hanging on to it- there’s nothing out there like it for the money!

I’ve got a pair of noise cancelling Bluetooth earphones I use on longer trips & stream the radio, amazon music & sat nav - works well & cancels out the drone of the sports exhaust.

Sony WI-1000X Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth

My 4c is my daily drive, have done 14k miles in it so far, comfort wise it’s no real difference from my old MX5. With the earphones longer trips are not a problem 👍

I’d have to agree with that and I will try the earphones - I have the race exhaust and 80 mph is tiring.
