4C - Where are we with prices right now?

There were 35 or so cars on autotrader a couple of months ago, now there's 20, so people are seemingly buying them.
Anyway I bought mine to drive the socks off it, I don't really care what the value of it is at the end. I don't mind paying for the enjoyment of it.
Indeed and its all the sub 39k ones that have sold, virtually nothing starting with a 4 has moved ......Anyway I bought mine to drive the socks off it, I don't really care what the value of it is at the end. I don't mind paying for the enjoyment of it.
I'm with you, I'm buying it to drive, but the cheaper I can get the 'cost of entry' the better ....

At dealers ???
If so I'd not expect them to have paid much over 35k if that ....
They are sitting around for a while and only more arriving hence my holding fire plus I have finished prepping the 999R for sale ...
I'm just trying to sift through the past auctions to see what the real sale prices are.If so I'd not expect them to have paid much over 35k if that ....

Car prices i dont believe are going up but i think with a 4C if your entry point is accurate then you shouldn't lose too much

Yeah I agree with lowering that cost of entry. I bought a 2016 one with 8k miles on it because I was only going to stack loads more on top, it didn't make sense to buy a car with say 2-3k miles for more upfront cost and just erode that value myself anyway. 8k miles is still pretty much nothing on a modern car. I paid 37k for my coupe back in January and it's pretty much the exact spec I wanted. I jumped on it and put down a deposit as soon as I saw it and I'm glad I did because I haven't seen a car with a similar spec (it's madreperla) come up since. The only one I've seen come up that's quite similar to mine is the one that's come on autotrader a few days ago and it's at 42k or plain white ones with poverty specs for the same price I paid but slightly less mileage.I'm with you, I'm buying it to drive, but the cheaper I can get the 'cost of entry' the better ....

Ideal and good move, I think you have done well, I also think with the new influx of cars coming it will soften a little, sounds like you have a cracking car, I'm in the same boat, don't see the value in the premium for a sub 5k mileage car when im going to use it ......

She's up to 12k miles now
Madreperla, factory front/side PPF, red calipers, dark 18/19s, leather dash with red stitch, full leather seats, race exhaust (but no racing suspension), Bi-xenons (which I personally prefer over the carbon fibre lights)

Very smart and nice balanced spec ...She's up to 12k miles now

Advertised prices if anything are rising. And as pointed out, they are also selling. Lawrywild was right to jump on the car which suited his spec requirements (lovely car by the way). The cheap lease deals have helped to develop a greater following and those interested in this very unusual car know that the initial criticisms levelled at the 4c can be sorted for £450 (if not done already). There will be a number of anniversaries coming to market over the next 6 or so months - some will sell quickly due to lack of current supply and some will hang around till next summer. It's logical to think that Summer 2021 may be the point that supply dries up on the used market, which normally means gentle appreciation of prices (notwithstanding macro economic factors). So if you haven't got one yet and it's something you want in the garage, the next 12 months could be an important timescale.

I'm planning to take my 4C up to drive the North Coast 500 later this summer, anybody else done it?
Did it in a Merc with a group, other cars included an Elise & a Ferrari, nobody had any trouble with the roads, quite the opposite, def worth doing, if you can go at short notice great as you can work it in to have good weather . I would suggest you avoid the Holiday season as the roads may be full of campervans & the like Spider listings getting a little bit silly - e.g. £44k for a 16k mile giallo Anniversary.
New spider in at Auto 100 for sensible money.

The anniversary stock for auction is available to hire out over summer on short term basis. I guess it's one way of making the asset work while standing firm on reserve price
Really? How does that work? Suspect the silly prices will soften as we move into winter - the high reserves are probably intentional to keep them of the market so they can be trickled in as needed.
I still think prices will stay quite strong on these cars given the rarity. General car market doesn't understand them which gives a wide variation on prices.
To test the water I was offered £5k difference in PX for a similar car by two different dealer networks. I nearly jumped at the higher price but figured depreciation will be less in the 4C so held out.
They're a lot of car for the money, yes look beyond the choice of interior trim at what they deliver but are unfortunately let down by main dealer support. Interesting whether Maserati owners get ste customer service ?
