No problem, just out of interest what are the other cars on your list?
Slightly more "traditional" Ferrari replacements perhaps

R8
Gallardo
Vantage

All the above would be manual whereas the 4c is an auto and all would be the convertible version

3 great alternatives but as I’m sure you know 3 cars that are likely to be costly to maintain properly..
A big factor in my decision to buy my spider 3 years ago was just how cheap they are to maintain coupled I think with pretty bullet proof future values.

Oh some good choices. I had the Vantage and R8 on my list just over a year ago. I ended up with a 4C. (Coupe )

It's a very different drive to those cars so just make sure it's what you want (no power steering and definitely a drivers car.... there is no relaxed drive with it. It's full on, all the time )

But every journey is an event.

As pointed out. Alfa works blocks a must, and biggest service is 5th year (just had mine done £1500 but with some preventative stuff done ) after that not a lot at all. Been super reliable but you will have to buy a new battery at some point. Very sensitive when they are not in tip top condition.

As mentioned by the previous post..Joe Quinn is your man. Think he knows about 75 percent of the cars in the market (there are not many. Less than 500 in total and only around 200 of the spider) very exclusive.

I'm based in Berkshire if you want to have a look around mine.

I’ve had two spiders, still have the madreperla white, and they are cracking cars.

As mentioned before every single yard in one is a huge event due to the theatre of the things - with a race exhaust it’s crazy to think it’s just a 1.75ltr engine behind you.

Handling can be ‘interesting’ on cambered roads but this as covered can be easily rectified by the Alfaworks upgrades. Worth checking the PPF too as these are super low, super wide cars and therefore tend to attract road damage too.

Prices were stable at around £40k 12 months ago (more for a 50th anniversary spider) with coupes often a couple of grand under the later spider model.

For looks the 18”/19” wheels are great but for actual driving the 17”/18” combo is best especially for the track where this car really does come alive. Keep the revs in the right range and you’ve got a car that can outbreak most things on the circuits despite it losing out on some top end speed when really pushing on.

My two, old and new.
