I tried sitting at about 65 to 70mph on a motorway journey once and got almost 40mpg. Got bored after 45 minutes and never tried again. Impressive though.
Round town and flooring it kills the economy though. I average about 22mpg doing just that.

I have seen readouts from the display showing mid thirties for long runs in the QF, at the legal averages too, not dawdling.
Most Alfa’s seem to need some time to settle in before returning good economy. They also seem to sound nicer and nicer too, not sure why but I’ve certainly noticed it on my Veloce and I did when I ran Petrol 156’s too.

And there lies the problem, getting good Mpg is just boring. But amazing to get it near 40. Interesting if it gets better in time.

While they were looking for my car (once again don’t ask) they gave me a veloce 2.0lt turbo 280bhp i think?? . I was impressed with it, drives so nice and you can use all the power all the time . By doing it in reverse to its brands and making the quadrifoglio first really shines through.

As regards the "All off", It feels great on dry road with warm tyres, I track day a Caterham so used to that all off feel. But I am conscious of 510bhp to rear wheels and don't wish to be "that guy" that kerbed or worse his brand new car. I pushed it to break out and it does feel very controllable, but would like to do a drift day or get it off the public roads to explore this. I don't want to do a full on track day, so may be need to find an empty car park and have some fun. its just so capable that your 20-40 mph faster than everything else on the roads. without being anywhere near the limits.

My Jag XEs was 325BHP and could get 38mpg on a good run, and the QV recons 34 combined, I would like to know if anyone is actually getting that. I have some very long motor ways on Tuesday so will get a better Idea after that.

Feel free to PM me and can discuss monies
I got 37 on a run down to Bedfordshire last week (from Cheshire) - not hanging about, but in Eco on the Motorway. I also averaged around 30mpg during a 3 weeks, 3500mile road trip around Europe last summer, 3-up with a lot of luggage, and some spirited driving.

....that said, my usual consumption, mostly around town and short cross-country trips, struggles to break 20mpg!

I’m 24 hours in to my new (67 plate) QV!

100 miles and no reliability so far !!!

I will report views after a week. A few immediate thoughts. I had a Alfa corporate loan car for a week and my new car feels far more refined on day to day N mode . That’s good. It feels a lot tighter, not as fast. It will have had an easier life I’m sure !

Had to do a very hard brake today and hazards came on automatically which was nice touch .

I had a FTyoe R previous and this is a very interesting comparison . Looking forward to some good driving days this weekend .

I am now 1300 miles in with only a only have one very minor snag, .....but loving it, and glad I chose it.
Anyone got any idea how to get the internal lights to come on when the doors are opened at night. So far I have avoided reading the manual but this one has me stumped???

Yes omitted the word none!

Think I’ve sorted town traffic stationary / creep issue. I just put in neutral , either using stick or pulling both paddles back and it’s straight forward low speed braking, feels totally normal and controllable . Ready to go, just put to drive

Exactly, been doing that since forever. Saves on wear, easier and more comfortable experience etc

Interesting never tried that. At low speed breaks feel on or off and very difficult to drive smooth for passengers. So will give it a go.

SO made a trip to AHM today, great company with some cracking upgrades . Had the remote for exhaust done, within the hour and now the car is exactly what I want.

The only question I have is For £299+vat what quadrifoglio owner wouldn’t do it!?

Other upgrades they have are :.... lower springs without affecting ride (look much better) , carbon exhaust system (with stunning tail pipes) and 590bhp for only £600 . (Although not sure it’s needed)

1500 miles in and was really enjoying, but the addition of the remote I’m loving it. At low revs it sound like a growling tiger.
