Hi, has anybody got any idea about this. A short while ago i had the yellow engine/electronics warning light come on but the car runs as normal. Took it to a dealer who duly replced the lambda 2 probe, a week later on it came again. I took the car back, they said it might be the connectors which they cleaned. 2 days later on it came. I have been back 3 more times, they clear the error and nothing shows until 2 or 3 cold starts. HELP!!!

Send it back to the dealer, leave it with them for a week while they put you in a car

Hi pwig, the cars a 2000/y reg. I had the first lambda2 probe done 9 months ago (probably ok after all) then this game started. Seems to occur during warmup, bloody electronics. Any ideas on what it could be?

The engine management warning can be one of 200 or so problems. So impossible to say. Throw the car back at them.

Hi pwig, car booked back at Perrys Amersham. just not convinced it will be found easily as most dealers replace rather than repair, ie whole wiring loom etc. I think they will use the car with the laptop plugged in to see when or if something triggers the lambda 2 error.

Check the multi pin loom plug to the engine. Mine had this problem due to a dirty/poor contact.
