GTV ......Twin Spark or V6 ?

Can anyone shed some light on the running costs of either model of the (gorgeous) GTV ?

from what I’ve read the MPG for the 2.0ts can be between 25-32 depending how you drive, and the 3.0V6 is 22-30.

What are the costs of services for each ?

I think the cam belt, water pump and associated bits cost about £700-£1,000 for Both engine types is this right ?

So is the only difference in running costs the MPG ?
or are there other differences ?

The TS needs cambelts every 36k, the V6 more like 60k (or 4-5 years in either case).

Suspension bushes are more prone to failure in the TS (V6 has rose-joints)

Insurance can be quite hefty on the V6, depending on your circumstances (grp 19)

Depending on driving style and tyre compound, both can eat front tyres relatively quickly.

The V6 really drinks fuel around town, but isn't so bad on the motorway (I seem to get about 18-19mpg usually as I don't hit the motorways much in it at the moment)

Have a look at the V6 in my profile - absolutely all the running costs bar insurance & fuel are detailed; might not be as bad as you'd think.

The servicing costs are minimal between the two, but the reliablilty of the V6 is more better

It does get better when you hit the open road - that figure is for trundling around in traffic.

I found them to be very different in terms of handling. Personally I much prefer the T-Sparks handling on a B Road as I feel it has much sharper turn in and is generally more agile. The V6 is a great A road car but is a little less keen on being hussled. All subjective and personal opinion of course but it would probably be worth trying both to see for yourself.
