Diesel Stelvio
Discussion
Interested in experiences with the diesel Stelvio
I loved my 1.9JTD 156 Sportwagon
I also love my Giulietta QV (1750tbi)
I’m in Aust. where distances (pre-virus) were vast and diesel can be made to make man math sense. That said, I love the throttle response of the GQV although not the ridiculous fuel bill (It lives in D, never spent more than 5mins in N). I’m a confirmed Alfaholic with a Duetto and 1600GTJunior, so interested in any and all experiences of living with one daily (petrol or diesel, just not the QV.. I can’t afford/justify that)
Cheers

I have a petrol (280hp) version. Its surprisingly quick and agile for an SUV - it doesnt feel heavy at all and handles turns and cornering amazingly well. It really is a fabulous drive and looks on the outside great in my view. On the inside its not quite as luxurious as some of the competition but i dont mind that as i have two young kids who mess it up with footy boots and sports equipment. Its surprisingly spacious too, much more so than the 159SW I had before it. It is thirsty though but i am not doing much miles these days.
Overall im really pleased with it and in Alfa Red its great.

I bought a 210bhp Stelvio Speciale after loving my Giulia Veloce.
Initially test drove the 180bhp diesel and thought it was a little sluggish. Extra 30bhp makes a big difference. It drives just like the Giulia, just a little higher, very comfortable on long drives. Doesnt feel as big on the road as equivalent SUVs such as Jaguar F-Pace or Audi Q5, which is good.
