Oi, you, Alfa, No!
Why has that loveliest of lovely engines become so ugly?
It's not because it's a bit more fuel efficient and somewhat lighter that you can go around putting a plastic lid on it.
Give us back our chrome intakes and stainless steel exhaust manifolds!

That's not the V6 is it? It looks more like the straight 5 JTD Diesel.

Ahhh, that would explain the 'jtd' on the lid.

This is more to the point then

Who cares what it looks like? According to STeve Cropley in Autosport, the Brera he rode in at Goodwood sounded like a V12!!!

If it's the choice of looking like a V6 or sounding like a V12, I'll choose the sound thank you v.much!

It love to believe that, but I just saw an article in a German car mag that compared it to Pavarotti having lost its voice.
Fingers crossed then.

Err.. yep it was a gaffe but I put a picture in there of the real v6 and that was even uglier than the diesel one (which is pretty sick by itself).
Pic seems to have gone now

just read this by channel4 : ''It sounds delicious, too, the usual Alfa V6 note reproduced convincingly on this all-new engine.'' , no mention of a v12, and the 'repoduced' bit still worries me, but all in all good news.
