Quadrifoglio woes; it's too much.
Discussion
4 years with my Quad, it's a pussycat really! So controllable and the traction is actually very good. Just make sure you have appropriate tyres on, and perhaps that you can get the full exhaust noise without having to engage race every time. It's very well behaved in race too, seems to find even more traction weather permitting.
Dad and I went halves on a QF Sauber F1 edition, picked it up, floored it down the slip way on to the motorway and my 72 year old mum in her Tesla was right up with us, which I thought was quite funny.
The Sauber QF is a wonderful car, we haven’t really driven it much as we aren’t sure what to do with it, it’s sitting in the unit pride of place.
It’s a very quick car and for everyday use id tend to agree maybe a bit over kill, depends how heavy your right foot is I suppose.
Someone mentioned a f type Jag earlier, jumping out of the Alfa in to the Project 7 can feel the difference again, that car bends my mind some days, so much so I only drive it when my mind is clear and roads dry, the acceleration is frightening.
Everything is subjective I suppose.
Ideally you’d have the Alfa as a toy and something mundane for everyday, I drive a van everyday and I’m happy with that.

Jaroon you should start a Readers Card thread and show us more there?
Yeah, definitely. V.interested to read what you're posting, Jaroon. Not another word from me Dr. Brule so dry your eyes if they haven't detatched though excessive rolling Infact I'll remove the post, don't want anyone distressed obviously.
Will start a readers cars contribution if I get four interested parties.

It was the dig at Ronnie Hotdogs that felt unnecessary. I'm far from distressed but I am disappointed that the thread (that I started) went the way it did.DrBrule said:

Must have missed something here Anyway DrBrule, how are you getting on with your Veloce?
My Quadrifoglio replacement is now a BMW M340i which I'm loving. Not as exciting as the Alfa, obviously, but it's very comfy and very capable. I do miss the Alfa at times, and from a financial point of view with the price of used cars at the moment, I probably should have held onto it for a bit longer!
Also just bought myself a cheap MK2 MX5 as a toy / summer car which is a great laugh ... Apart from the rust and neglect, both of which I'm slowly sorting.
We took delivery of our Quadrifolio a few weeks ago and love it. Third road car we’ve had with north of 500 Bhp but not pushed the Alfa yet as it’s not yet run in - so can’t compare with the other cars. I’m impressed with the ride quality and road noise. The car replaces a BMW M2C, which was noisy and a very unforgiving ride.
Look forward to opening it up in the appropriate environment.

It's great - there is a 'but' coming however. Judged on it's own merit, it is brilliant. Fast, looks great, practical etc etc. I should be really happy with it. If I'd have come from my 159 to the Veloce I'd be chuffed to bits, BUT.... unfortunately I had a taste of the QF first and I can't shake it off. I've spoken to the dealer I bought the Veloce from and they said they would buy it back in a heartbeat, they can't get enough of them to sell.Anyway DrBrule, how are you getting on with your Veloce?.
I've got two options; wait until the price of the revised QF models with the better interior falls a bit (next year or so) and buy one or; keep the Veloce, enjoy it for what it is rather than grump about what it's not, and buy an old 1970s Alfa 1750/2000 GT Veloce to enjoy as well. Saw some at a car show recently and was smitten. That would remind me how quick the current Veloce really is.
That's why I got the mx5, really puts the BMW into perspective, but gives me safe RWD top down fun
I could see myself in another QF at some time as well, it's been gone since last December but it did get under my skin.
I feel like I probably wasn't ready initially, but with the inevitability of electric cars it could be the last hurrah of ICE for me.
I now also have clarification of work mileage etc as well, which allows me to plan things more clearly.
The BMW will more than do for the next 2 1/2 years though!

What an intersting thread came over here to make a thread post and found this. I love cars I am like like a 10 year old.
However a couple of years ago I spent a day with a guy who had an Audi RS7 and we went to appointments in it.Again like the op that was too much just full on all the time.It was such a pleasure to get back in my bmw F30 330d which really is no slouch

This is an interesting thread as I am at a cross roads. I have a 330i having test drove a veloce. Both 280bhp and great fun to drive. Enough pace for the roads but something tempts me for something special. Test drove a M4 a few weeks back and have a 911 on order but not sure when that will come or if I cancel prior.
I want something special and I keep thinking the QF but something tells me to get a nice veloce
Hoping to test drive soon
