My 96 gtv twinspark with 64,000 miles seems a bit soggy to me mainly on long sweeping bends,i get a bit of body roll and twitchy movements from the car, maybe i,m just going to fast and am up to the limit of the car,I,ve had a MR2 b4 which has about the same power and that felt far more flatter and neutral around long fast bends.
Any suggestions on what to change ie bushes, shocks etc and is it worth going to non alfa shocks, springs etc for even better then standard handling without shaking my teeth out .
Cheers Simon
Ps
Why does the 147 2.0 have a slower 0-60 time on paper then the GTV when it is about a 100 kilos lighter??

Sounds like the rear bushes are worn out - common on the 2.0TS. Powerflex do a set of poly bushes but you'll need to find a garage with a big enough press to get the old ones out and the new ones in. Alfa only supply complete control arms with (rubber) bushes pre-installed.

Alternatively (or addtionally), the shocks could be in need of replacement.

Alfaman is now doing arms with Powerflex bushes already in. Not sure if he's doing GTV ones yet though...
